Hi eweryone! I gonna post here some my painted miniatures, as well as wips/conversions. Any ideas, cryticism or proposal how to bring the work forward are welcome! I have some Chaos (Mortals, Beastmen...And Skaven - they are the chaos ones, aren't they? ) Also I have some Greenskins (I've always loved them) and Vamps (very selectively) - I'll have a separate blog for them, maybe. You won't find any skinny elf- or man-thing here So welcome to the Chaos Grand Legion! There was a time when I had to take break in hobby, sadly. Now I'm looking for my old miniatures and (re)painting/converting them cos many of them I bought were used ("secondhand") or harriedly painted ("I want to play asap" syndrome ). Some of them even weren't painted (or assambled) of course. Also I want to make some themed things.

Now i'm working on the Nurgly Gorebeast chariots and warriors (halberds and hw+shield), Chaos dragon, Tzeentchy and Slaaneshy characters (Disco-lord, daemonic mount Bsb, sorcerors and bsb on steeds, respectively).
A few photo will appear later.

Chariots. Each of it must be individual. At least the mounts. Plague cart ("Nurgle Carnival") driven by nurglik mob. Mordheim dude and chaos sorcerer(?) as crew. The other two are simple wooden clunker driven by nurgle beast/toad/etc. First mount will be made of plague drone. And second one will be sculpted (I have not any suitable minis for it). Chariots will be made of VC corpsecart kit and putty/wood/bits.

Nurgly warriors are simply chaos warriors kit + breastplate+weapons&stuff from Putrid blightkings. Some beastmen's shield are fitted too. But what's about halberds? I have 2 ideas: 1) converted lances from chaos knights (pfff, too easy) and 2)insect legs from plague drones (awesome!). Okay, guys, are there any other ideas?

Chaos dragon will be made of Mutalith/Slaughterbrute kit + AoS Tzeentch Spell kit (you see, AoS is not so bad - it provided a number of new awesome things! Besides, I never liked Mut/Slaught beastie ). But I just can't find any suitable wings, sadly.

Scythes are a very Nurgly look, and can work for halberds. Do you have any of those you can pinch from another kit (various of the ghostly Undead models have them)?

I'll try to barter some with our undead collectors. Also I find some orcy spears (they are "sloppy-orcy-nurgly") and some Avatars of war stuff (they are meh, sadly). About wings. I have only chimera/manticora wings - they are to small for that. I'll probably sculpt them myself. (Pic 2 added for some inspiration)

Imo the Tyranid wings would work very well with Chaos. They are quite large and substantial.

If you're really into kit bashing/green stuff work (and it sounds like you are), then how about making one of the carts to be pulled by a black swarm of flies? Very Nurgl-y. The idea being that there are so many of the little bugs that they can even pull a chariot. Yikes! Now how to achieve that is the challenge. Maybe see if you can get your hands on some Tomb King bugs, Wood Elf Sprite creatures, heck, even Necron critters, etc. Maybe a mass of black painted polyvinyl would help with the look. Or you might go solid if you're really good with green stuff, giving the appearance of a cloud, with various bugs stuck in, coming out, etc. Just ideas. As always, take it or leave it!

I currently have a half assembled unit of Nurgle Warriors with Halberds sitting in my backlog and what I've used for some of them are suitable looking hand weapons from the PBk-kit and other sources attached to banner poles and other suitable shafts. I find that swordstaves turn out especially well but that might just be a personal preference. Oh and that curved knife from the PBK-kit makes for an excellent billhook if you stick it on a pole.
