hi folks,
We've dug out our significant WFB armies and play 8th Edition.
We've been playing a tourney and there has been a couple of horrible mistakes but generally not too bad given we've now played 7 battles (2500K each) in just a week.
We own the huge hardback rule book and have a small paperback one so you'd think we'd be able to find this.....
Two things.
Flyers....can they charge a unit that has another enemy unit in front of it?
So for example, raising a unit of zombies via spell in front of your caster and bunker....if there was enough room, could the flying monster charge the bunker unit?
I feel there is something there that prevents that? Is it line of sight? Page 16 seems to say no....but Line of sight is not really that clear frankly. We've always said certain things block line of sight, units of same type and forests for example. So we said no, flyer could not charge unit behind...is that correct?
Secondly
If two undead units charge into combat and one loses by 5 and the other none......does that mean both units take 5 extra wounds? Or just the unit that lost by 5?
We decided both lost the 5 wounds but again, this seems really harsh if one unit was an elite one like blood knights!!!
Thanks in advance, much appreciated.

So for example, raising a unit of zombies via spell in front of your caster and bunker....if there was enough room, could the flying monster charge the bunker unit? I feel there is something there that prevents that? Is it line of sight? This is highly dependent on the actual placement of models on the tabletop. But if there is room and the flyer has line of sight, then yes they can charge over an intervening unit. If two undead units charge into combat and one loses by 5 and the other none......does that mean both units take 5 extra wounds? Or just the unit that lost by 5? You calculate one combat result for all units in the combat. So it is impossible for the two units to lose by different amounts.

What thegoat says. Regarding the second question, here is one we prepared earlier.
