I’m late to the party so can see you’ve chopped and changed the initial list. One thing I’ll add is although a character on a flying mount cannot join a flying unit, they can potentially get a look out sir on a 4+ if close enough. I like the book of Asher on a level 4. +6 to cast (in a wood) is solid. Yes it’s pricey and it’s only +6 when casting not dispelling. That worked for me as I was running 2 lvl 4’s so needed all the bonuses to cast I could. If you are worried about regen you could give your non wizard characters the starfire shafts (which also gives +1 to wound vs forces of destruction), or drop the size of the flaming banner unit and give them all this arrrow.

I would drop the musicians in your main glade guard units and the enchanted shield on your hero.

Just watched some battle reports form Triple Crown Wargaming featuring Wood Elves. Seems like the Starfire Shaft arrows is an option I need to test in a game.
Isn't removing the musicians a bit risky with regards to being outmanoeuvred? Quick reform only being possible with a musician? Or am I seeing problems which aren't problems?

No your right, without a musician a swift reform can't be done and being outmanoeuvred is a risk that Wood elves in particular should avoid. I tend to try and deploy to avoid being flanked. Starfire is probably best against regeneration. I find either swiftshards or hagbane are best for price.
