Brets get -1 to the roll to see who goes first (instead of forced to go 2nd).
Why do they need to have a negative rule at all? Lol
Strictly speaking, this is incorrect. If the Bret Army prays, the enemy can choose to go first or second turn. The ward save is beneficial enough to trade it for a roll-off that you may lose in any case.
Did I miss something? This doesn't seem like the thread to be discussing rules...
These are changed/special rules for the Adepticon convention coming up later this month. It’s got a few different rules to change up some play style is all. Definitely different than RAW, but clearly stated ahead of time. It’s probably just a habit for Fvon to see a rule written out and start quoting warhammer scriptures (which we all appreciate, btw).

As an Empire player, I consider making it BSB only as a step forward, making it 3++ against all wounds as two steps backwards. The BotWD is generally put in a death star that will turn most units (certainly Empire) into mince-meat in CC. I would avoid CC at all costs, while trying to whittle down the death star with shooting attacks (and "instant kill" spells). The BSB cannot be targeted by shooting or will have a 2++ LOS! against templates in any case, but now the other models in the unit will have a 3++, making it more difficult to whittle the unit down.
