I have a hodgepodge of random miniatures on my board. I will be trying to finish as many of the following as possible (if only as they’ve been cluttering the board for months…): A final Bretonnian character, 2 damsels (1 on foot/1 mounted), Baron Marc le Chauve (Leipold the Black model), Tetto’eko, a dwarf engineer, an AoW warrior priest, a zealot miniatures ‘not’ Heroquest wizard, ‘not’ Heroquest dwarf and a wood elf hero.

I've painted a ton of larger 40K vehicles much quicker. Painting the War Altar took longer than any of them because every square millimeter has some bobbit of detail that needed to be picket out. I even left off several books, flags, candles, banners, etc. because I didn't want to have to paint them. I too have Hurricanum and Luminark I'm not exactly looking forward to painting. |

As pledged, I've been trying to clear off a number of the random models on the paint board to make room for some batch painting (i've been busy building and priming Empire Kits, though it might be something else next). There are still a few characters on the board but they may take a back seat for a bit. Empire Wizard. This is a Zealot Miniatures figure released as part of their 'not heroquest' range. I picked up a few models from the KS a while back. Painted as part of the Amethyst College  Empire Captain. This is probably my favourite Empire hero on foot model. I love the over-the-top visuals of it. I probably will go back and paint the sleeve recesses purple though as looking at the photos it feels that the one colour doesn't quite work.  Baron Marc le Chauve, Lord of his domain in the Border Princes and head of my Bretonnian force. Conveniently painted in the colours of my Empire too, in case I want him to lead them. Of course, the model is Leitpold the Black from forgeworld, that I picked up during the last chance to buy.  Tetto'ekko  Skink Shaman  Salamander - Avatars of War model. I really like the sculpt but the cast was not brilliant and that is a bit off putting when painting.  Bretonnian Paladin - my final Bret Paladin. There is a story around why he is Green, that I will add to the Bret PLOG.  A couple of the bug quiver holders from the Kurnoth Hunters kit. I have a few more of these to go but they seemed apt to use as Glade Guard, mini unit fillers.  |
