www.warhammer-community.com/2023/02/09/pricing-update/
We’re sure it hasn’t escaped your notice that a lot of things are more expensive than they used to be: food, materials, transport – essentials and luxuries alike. Stuff costs more to make and more to move, and Warhammer is not immune to these changes. This means that from the 6th March we’ll be increasing some prices. The average change for plastic kits is about 6%. As an example of what you can expect, a Battle Sisters Squad goes up £1.50 from £36 to £37.50.* We understand that no one likes a price rise. We’ve done our best to keep prices down on some of your hobby essentials, and we’re giving you a heads-up now so that you have plenty of time to take advantage of current prices. What is changing: Plastic miniatures Forge World and Citadel resin miniatures Standard and Artificer Citadel brushes Spray paints What is not changing: Starter sets Paint sets Paint pots Citadel Tools Codexes, rulebooks and battletomes Synthetic STC brushes * Or local currency equivalent.
Annoying, but at least we get advance notice.

There is no good way to roll out a price increase. GW should just rip the band-aid off. Mostly I hate the endless complaining about it while they continue buying more models. If people actually stopped buying the models then GW would consider lowering prices. But that has never happened in the past thirty plus years I've been playing these games.

Is it time for the 'bash GW over raising prices' thread again?

Hopefully not! I posted it to make people aware it was coming, as not everyone checks Warhammer Community.

Wouldn't it make more sense to have a stickied thread about GW pricing in general?
My 2 cents on the matter is that I'm happy GW has actively priced me out of their customer base 20 years ago, before I even started. if it weren't for prices I found unjustifiable I would have never learned to look for alternatives, whether that is in the form of used miniatures, alternative manufacturers or even 3D printing. I have now spent way more than I'd like to admit in this hobby over the course of many years. GW saw less than CAD 180 total from me.
I'm optimistic, every price increase will see other people expand their horizon.

Yes, a bit dangerous in times like these with the 3D-printing..
Their prices are already well salted and above infaltion so.. it´s just an exuse to push it and make the shareholders happy. It will backfire sooner or later.
Also hope others will look for alternatives, nice to put some pressure on GW and get some proper competition in, that is for the benefit of us, the customers.

So happy I have more or less everything I need, not necessarily want, but I only have so much hobby time anyway.
