Hi everyone! I am new to EEFL, but not to Warhammer, which I started playing in 1989 and then again around 2018, after a nearly 25 year long break. (not that I play much at all, mainly collect and paint) In the last few years I have been posting on Ulthuan.net, where I have a similar painting blog. I have High Elves, Orcs and Goblins and Dwarf armies, and in the last five years I have painted lots for the first two. In recent weeks I have been painting some archers, of the high elf and of the orc kinds - aiming to have them completed within a few days before heading off for holidays with the family. Last week I also took the decision to start an Ogre Kingdoms army. I like painting bigger models and such an army requires few models to complete. Maybe I can complete my army list by Christmas? In the coming days I will show some of my recent work and start updating on my painting progress - stay tuned! PS: If anyone near Macclesfield is interested in a friendly game with a rusty player, feel free to drop me a note!

Could anyone point me to instructions on how to post images? Can I upload images directly, or do I have to link to images hosted somewhere else?

I think they have to be hosted somewhere else but could be mistaken, I've been using imgur for mine and it works fine. Also the decades long break is an essential part of collecting warhammer fantasy I reckon, I took 20 years off myself!

The last miniature I completed is Eltharion on Stormwing: He is stuck there with blutack so I can take him off if/when he is killed.

Home-made mangler squigs - duplicate miniatures in the mini-dioramas were recast with milliput using blue stuff mods. All other elements were hand made with milliput. I usually field only two, so the worst-looking model is almost never used.

Great looking stuff. The High Elves in particular are top-notch. Thanks for sharing.

Just finished (yesterday) a unit of orc archers. Not the best models, feels a bit like a waste of time. The context is that I needed some expendable models for a personal challenge: seeing how far can I take a paint job only with an airbrush. The answer is that to do a decent work one needs still quite a lot of paintbrush work.

I also gave my high elf archers two additional models and a command unit, which brings the unit to a more useful 24 (21 + Full Command): The rank and file are truly ancient models from the mid '80s, I have owned them since then.
