Waaaagh!
Orc are back and they have a bag of new tricks! Warband, Choppa's, Bigun upgrades, some sweet banners, several weapon options, yummi.
Given all these cool things, and knowing the new Give Ground etc mechanics, and the fact they are infantry this makes me wonder ...
How to play them?
- Big hordes, wide, as to guarantee getting some attacks off when charged? - Adding (warbosses) to get attacks off even? - Flanking them with the new cool Orc Board Boy Mobs, counter chargings, rerolling charge range, with extra attacks on the charge? - Field them in smaller units, a bit more MMU/ MSU, as their charge is pretty ferocious?
All of the above? None?
How do you fancy playing them?

I will setup a testgame with two of my friends to get them hyped for TOW. Currently preparing two army lists, Orcs and Goblins vs the Empire.

That is a very nice horde, led by the firm hand of black orcs. Solid MMU with support and ranged thread. Really curious how the blocks of 25 perform, Bastard from hell. Did you consider making the orc Big'uns?

Not for now, but I will make up my mind after the first test game. The Banner of Butchery is the light version of Big Uns... Med Uns. I'm also very curious about the required number of models per unit to be efficient.
Maybe I will include a 10 man squad of skirmishing Goblins. They will shield the unit behind them, granting a -1 modifier to hit them. If the oponent wastes a shot at the unit and they flee, no Orc will care about it.

Your list needs to have 2 more mobs of Blorcs. Currently it’s not a legal list. Black Orcs and black orc bosses have a rule called Da Boyz and you have to have a boss for every mob and vice versa.

Oops, you are right. Maybe I will split my Black Boyz to have one unit with Great Weapons and one with Handweapon and Shield. Already reduced my list to 1500 points for the test game.
