Arcane bodkins: -2 AP instead of the standard -1
This has been tuned down relative to 8th, which was -3 AP and magical.
Hagbane tips: poisonous
Same as 8th, but they are no longer magical attacks
Moonfire shots: flaming and magical
Same as 8th, although no longer +1 to wound against forces of destruction / order, respectively
Swiftshiver shards (no change): multiple shots (2), no longer magical
Same as 8th, but they are no longer magical attacks
Trueflight arrows: ignore cover and quickshot
8th: no negative modifiers to hit, so the long range modifier still kicks in for TOW
While in general all arrows have been tuned down a bit, their costs are also much lower. A very important change is that waywatchers no longer have the options between two different show types (ignore armour or multiple shots). Waywatchers can now take magical arrows and already ignore negative cover modifiers when shooting.
I am wondering what will be the best arrows to take for which units? What would be your thoughts on this?
My guess would be that hagbane tips still work very well in most cases, especially against heavy thougness opponents. However, for waywatchers it might make sense to take swiftshiver shards?
