I am trying to knock together another regiment of high elf archers, but getting hold of one of the old boxes has been very difficult. I was wondering if anyone reckons Druchii rxbs if given bows and arrows from another elf kit (perhaps shadow warriors?) could fit in well enough with other high elf models. Would it require a lot of filing work?
Any other proxy suggestions would be welcome too, trying to stay within the style and scale of eighth, but am open minded.
Thank you!

I don't think it would be worth it with the Dark elf crossbow guys. They look a lot meaner than the high elves and the armor is different. I'm sure it could be done but you would be losing out on the awesome shadow warriors if you were to use their bows. I plan on using these lord of the rings elves on the left as high elf archers once I touch up the paint job. The Lotr archers are cheap and plastic and already have bows so are a direct fit. Even if you decided you liked the Dark elf models it would be cheaper and easier using Lotr archers for their bows than shadow warriors. Looking forwards to seeing some of your Asur!

I like the Grenadier High Elves. Old sculpts for sure, but made by a master of the trade (Copplestone) and they should probably paint up very well as a ranked unit, using modern paints and techniques. The style is not at all too far off from the later GW High Elves in my opinion, probably rather a predecessor in the same 'school' of High Elves aesthetics? The size and scale should match fairly well but I can't swear to that so please double check. Forlorn Hope miniatures in the UK has the best price for these as far as I know. Good luck!
