Pretty basic starter dwarf list I've thrown together. Wanted to go for a more footslogging close combat approach rather than building a gunline (tempted to drop the Irondrakes to further fit this theme).
Dwarf Lord - Great Weapon, Shieldbearers, 2x Rune of Fortitude, 1x Rune of Iron
Runelord - Great Weapon, Rune of Balance, 2x Rune of Spellbreaking
Thane - BSB, 3x Rune of Slowness, Great Weapon
24x Dwarf Warriors -Full Command, Hand Weapon and Shield
24x Dwarf Warriors -Full Command, Great Weapons
Grudge Thrower - Rune of Accuracy, Rune of Penetrating, Rune of Burning
27x Hammerers - Full Command, Master Rune of Valaya
10x Irondrakes - Full Command, Trollhammer Torpedo
Comes out at 1997pts
Any Longbeards willing to share feedback?

I think that's a fairly well-rounded list you have there - a nice blend of long-range & short range abilities. Which unit is the unkillable Lord going into?

Probably put him in the hammerers with the thane. The runelord could go in either unit of warriors, though I'd probably put him in with the hand weapons, the great weapons should have enough strength to deal with armour.

I like it. very classic and very traditional. Maybe i'd do 2 runesmiths instead of 1 runelord? this way you can put 1 in the shield warriors for the AP and one in the corner of the other unit to have him personally charge out of the unit in case of chaff or redirectors coming your way.
if you decide to go full footslogging and remove the IronDrakes and the Grudge Thrower I'd go with unit of IronBreakers. You could probably do a 10 man unit of IB instead of the ID if you want to keep the grudge thrower.
