Cauldron/Shrine/Bell - can't join units?

Quick question, hopefully! Am I right in thinking that the Cauldron of Blood, Bloodwrack Shrine, Screaming Bell and Plague Furnace can no longer join units, as the Heavy Chariot unit type prevents that, and they have no exception granted to it?
It looks like their rules have been modified to take this into account - e.g. buffs applying to nearby units, and the Dragged Along rule... if you can keep them within 1" of a friendly unit - which can get tricky when charges/combats start.
