Nice collections all around. I've been collecting for ~20 years as well. Mostly Empire. That's the army I can't stop adding to. The others are at a more reasonable size. This is painted stuff only. I never count/catalog the grey mountain for that way lies madness and despair. Empire: ~20K Warriors of Chaos: ~6K Daemons: 2700 Dwarfs: 1000 Most of my boys in action (with some allies) The horde of Reiksguard is an inspiration.

Wow, Naitsabes! That is one epic game! Looks like it could have taken a couple of days to play! What is that HUGE thing in the middle on the Chaos side? Also, I really like that Burning man in the middle as well. Looks like he's going, "Ah! I'm on fire! Help me put it out!" Lol! one evening of setup, one LONG day of gaming. The big bad chaos guy is Krakanrok the Black, Father of Dragon Ogres. We used it as more of a moving terrain piece that would hurt things it touched on its way to the city gate. It is a conversion based based on some silly expensive boutique miniature from Asia. The burning man was a K'daai. We did put him out eventually, can't quite remember how. There was quite the chaos dwarf contingent present. My cannons had a good day. and, yes. glad to inspire with the Reiksguard. Painting that unit took a bit of stamina.

That is an epic battle indeed. Nice scenery and not an unpainted model in sight

Any chance may we have a closer look at those riveting Reiksguards, milord? I have a whole Empire painting log over in the hobby section. My computer is acting up so I can't post a link but I am sure you can click your way over there by yourself. Reiksguard are on page 2 and 3 (although the whole log is worth a look...in my biased opinion ) Horace, life is too short for playing with unpainted miniatures!

I now have 3k points of warriors of chaos. I just bought an entire army off eBay for $285 free shipping. Good deal too. No marauders just like I wanted. Only thing I need to get is maybe some war hounds for chaff.
It came with 8 knights, 24 halberd/shield warriors, 15 tzeentch warriors, 2 chimera, 8 skullcrushers, 1 hell canon with dwarfs, Festus the leechlord, 1 sorcerer, 2 bsb one on foot one on horse, Lord/ hero on horse and 2 Lord/ hero on foot and 4 chariots.

Yes thank you. It was hard because most armies for chaos have models I don't want or need. Like any type of marauder for example. One set had nice painted models, but had a giant and 60 marauder models and like 40 chosen but I don't really want chosen either.
I don't get why WoC isn't more popular they have cool stuff. Can't believe they can have the ability for a 1+ re-rollable armor save with a 3++ re-roll 1's ward save, geesh.

That's why. Some of us prefer a rapier to a club.

Great eBay find!

WoC was, at a point in time, the MOST popular WFB army in Western New York. Hands down.
I played in a tourney, 4 out of 5 of my opponents were Warriors. So simple, but so good. High Strength. Great Armor.

So I aquired more orc & goblin units. I'm at about 5k now, so I have a huge variety. I also built up my high elves more, I now have a 3rd bolt thrower and sisters of avelorn as well as beef up my silver helm, I now have 24 of them 😃

I have:
Warriors of Chaos Beastmen Skaven Ogres Dwarfs
At one time I had high elves but I solds them. (I regret it now) I plan to acquire some daemons and perhaps Chaos Dwarves if I ever find a decent manufacturer whose miniatures I actually like.

You guys all have such mental collections. Couldn't have said it any better. I have always wanted to have a collection, but I suppose I don't have nearly enough patience to be working at it for years at a time without getting distracted. I own army books ONLY for Lizardmen and Vampire Counts, and want to start building up collections for those armies. I also own a Wood Elves book and I have one unit of 5 Wild Riders Mental.
