So I have a friend that runs VC. He was asking me if he could take 3 Lv1s and all take the signature spell. I didn't know if you had to exhaust all of the "normal" spells before you could take multiple signature spells, or even if they could be cast more than once by multiple casters. I've never encountered this. Does anyone know the answer to this?

The signature spell is the exception to "can only exist once in your army". Everyone in the army can have it.
In fact when I play "magical superiority" beastmen I rely on this as I usually run 2-4 lvl 1's with the lore of shadow and the shadow signature spell.

When I play a certain Empire list, I run three level 1 mages all with the Lore of Beasts. I still roll for spells; if I get a 6, I'll keep it (that would be Transformation of Kadon). Plan B is to run all three casting WYSAN'S WILDFORM. If I can get all three off in one phase - bully! It at least makes my magic phase interesting and I have options. I can cast 2 Wildforms on 2 different units, or 2 Wildforms on 1 Critical Unit.

Yeah wildform is an amazing spell. Probably the best signature spell out there for how effective it is.
