tinyskinkhands, I'm about to be 40. Which is why I made the categories so that I'm still on the thirties group

32, started at 14, took 6 years off for schoolin'. Some forced breaks due to moving and lack of players, but back into it again.

Oh. That Dan.
He's one of the big reasons I left 9th Age. His sheer fanboi tendencies linked to his position as head mod.

I have never once visited the 9th age forums, but I have heard stories about the fanboi tendencies over there, and how they get quite defensive and hammer-dropping when you don't agree with them. Apparently he's their Gaston.

Whew! Sometimes I've wondered if it was just me. I hate to say it's nice to see that others observed it too, under the circumstances, but it's nice to be vindicated as well.

Yeah, I was all into supporting the 9th age forum when they were starting out, but they KEPT changing things. I grew really tired of it and it seemed like they'd never come to an actual conclusion. Plus, now everything has a new name, I'd be confusing the 8th edition rules with the 9th, and all the people I play with are satisfied playing 8th.

I think our average ripe old age is exactly why AoS happened. Teenagers are way more into buying new'n'shiny. Agreed. I am 28. Started playing at 13.

If the price point weren't so high (I maintain THAT is why fantasy didn't sell so well) then I would have gladly bought and owned large armies for practically all of them. But come on... $50 for 10 CORE troops? I really want a witch elf/khainite dark elf army but...come on...$50 for 10 guys? 10 PLASTIC guys? WTF? Oh. That Dan.
He's one of the big reasons I left 9th Age. His sheer fanboi tendencies linked to his position as head mod. He actually hasn't responded back to me after I told him I don't play 9th and prefer 8th...oh well.

The Witch Elves pricepoint is one of the main reasons my DE battalion never went any further on general principle
