This is my first attempt at a Beastmen army.
It's vanilla 8E, only special rules
- No dispel scroll
- No level 3 or 4 wizards
Lords
Doombull --> Gor unit
+the other trickster's shard
+ ASF sword
+ Ramhorn helm
+ toP
+ Heavy armour
+ Shield
Heroes
Gorebull --> Gor unit
+Gnarled hide
+ Beast banner
+ Shield
+ Heavy armour
+ BSB
Bray-shaman --> Alone, near stone
+Shard of the Herdstone Bray-shaman --> Alone, near stone + Chalice of dark rain
Bray-shaman --> Alone, near stone
Core
45 Gor
+ ADHW
+ Champ
+ BS
+ Musician
10 Gor --> Ambush
5 Ungor Raiders --> Ambush
10 Ungor Raiders --> Ambush
10 Ungor Raiders
5 Ungor Raiders
Tuskgor Chariot
Special
10 Harpies Razorgor Chariot
Razorgor
Razorgor
Razorgor
Rare
Ghorgon
Ghorgon
What do you guys think? I like a ward save on my general since I've been cannon sniped one too many times. It is a deathstar build but the amount of razorgor, monsters and ambushing units should keep him busy.

I like it!
Double Ghorgon is pure win.
Also lovely triple Razorgor + Razorgor Chariot is awesome.
Style points for triple ambushers. 5 Ungor raiders have a decent chance of taking out an empire war machine, Dwarf Warmachine not so much.
Goodluck! May you feast on their hearts.
Take some pictures of your Gor unit including the twin Minotaur chiefs.
Remember your Gorebull can't parry due to frenzy but will still get the shield armor save bonus.

I was told that 5 Ungor raiders were useless versus warmachines and I needed 10. Perhaps they were talking about dwarves. Could make them 7-8 each? Bit worried about the Herdstone and my lone Shamans but it is something different and looks like fun. Next time he'll expect the Herdstone and I can go for the minobus (or Bestigors). Looks like a fun army list.

I regularly run a herdstone and can offer some advice there:
You can bunker your wizards inside a unit close by the herdstone if you're worried about shooting. Ungors are good here as they're skirmishers. If you can find a wood skirmishers, long range, and the shadowhide upgrade can make it nearly impossible for BS based shooting to hit you. The unit also provides a LOS for the shamans against templates. If you model your herdstone large enough (there's no set size, you can get as creative as you want with it, but beware of people getting frustrated and accusing you of gaming the system; if it's modeled and painted and looks amazing then rule of cool trumps all though) then you can just straight up hide your wizards behind it and not have to worry. This is another reason I LOVE the shadow signature spell; 3 lvl1's with the signature can potentially hex someones WS,BS,M,and I by up to -9, and do it without needing sight, and from 48" away. Melkoths Miasma is an AMAZING spell.
In my experience Razorgors make the best warmachine hunters. Ungors can do in a pinch, just be aware that against human crew you're only doing barely above 1 wound on average with a unit of 5. It just depends on how fast you want to kill the crew and how large you want the unit. I only take units of 5 ungors as speedbumps/redirectors/skirmish screen for shooting behind them. YMMV though.

If you decide to bunker your shamans inside a unit then you need to be careful with it against light cavalry and warmachine hunters. In this role it's very resistant to shooting but vulnerable to war machine hunters. I'd treat it as a warmachine in this case and protect it as such.

Bit afraid of the bunker. If he gets a captasus up there, the entire unit dies. skirmishers are fun though. Don't they lose that rule when joined by a non-skirmisher? My herdstone is big enough for 2, I think.

Actually it's the other way around. In the character section of the book; characters gain skirmish when they join a unit of skirmishers.
