Had a super quick miniest of the mini battle with my mate last night amongst other stuff so apologies for no proper terrain/table....I still thought I'd share. Basically one side consisted of Vashnak (Chaos Dwarf Lord, Dwarf Lord rules) on Great Taurus (including his retainer clinging onto the Taurus horn for pure life) along with the Red Bull another Great Taurus vs 6 Chaos Dwarf Blunderbuss deserters and 2 hungry Carnosaurs (one being Smechyck the weird looking conversion who has a 6+ regeneration save) The Blunderbuss shooting was useless, didn't do a thing. They did however inflict one wound on the Red Bull before being destroyed. The final scene of the battle, Vashnack and his Taurus had killed Smechyck but the Taurus was left wounded. Meanwhile the remaining Carnosaur killed the Red Bull then turned and charged into Vashnak. Vashnak had his Taurus chomped and would actually have been eaten by the Carnosaur which had one wound remaining. Carnosaur had inflicted 2 unsaved wounds on the full health Vashnak....but of course Carnosaur's cause multi wounds.... which I rolled a 2 and a 3 for, causing 3 wounds total and killing Vashnak. However we decided to ignore this multiple wound rule and see what would have happened hypothetically if Vashank was instead only reduced to his last wound. Vashnak the Cruel with this new twist of fate held his nerve then bashed in the brains of the the Carnosaur which is the final picture taken, sole survivor of the battle on one wound. Super tight mini battle going down to the wire. Whole thing took about 20 minutes. Obviously army composition rules were ignored. I posted this to show that the 8th Edition can be fun, swift and balanced at lower point limits. One unit surviving on one wound, can't get any closer than that. We both enjoyed this little diversion which took very little time and told a nice little story.

Blunderbusses are only really good at shooting when above 20. I guess their utility is that they are still also a handy combat block that can put out a nice amount of shots & stand and shoot once they are below 20

In their one shooting phase I only rolled a 1 for multi shots.
