At 2k points I would personally drop the 2nd Runesmith and the Giant Slayer (you already have enough slaying going on in that unit) and get something else for the list.
Also are 2 Cannons worth it? In 2k lists you will probably not be facing too many big scary things, perhaps you could swap that for a different type of threat (style points for Flame Cannon useage)

They are exactly like Champions but if you are running both the other Slayer characters in the unit they are a bit pointless (imo)

To be fair the giant slayer was there because I had a few points left over and so I bought a pistol and a G/slayer to round off the points.
The reason for the list as it stands was version 1 got beaten by some Ogres who sported a couple of cannons, they also used the regen on their unit (I forget the spell name) so I needed a slayer with flaming attacks (and maybe rerolls) I also brought back the second rune smith. I normally take two, didn't this time and wound up losing out. When I get back to my computer I'll post the original list

What about dropping one cannon and giving the Slayer unit the Runic Banner that allows them a Vanguard move? IF you do that, then I'd probably also drop the Dragon Slayer for a small unit of Rangers to block enemy Vanguarders, and a Gryocopter (with Vanguard) for support/chaffing, if you have the points. Get up in his face while the rest of your army moves up.

At this point I would trade away some of the runes you have (slowness/sanctuary etc) for something else funky (like a flame cannon)

If you know you're going upa gainst another pair of cannons, I get the 2 cannons. Otherwise, an organ gun might fare much better. It's funny: I have the Ungrim model, but don't have any slayers to run him with. So I've never tried him in a game. I personally don't run 2 Runesmiths unless it's a bigger game, although 2 spell eaters can downright shut down his magic. I don't like the idea of losing the gyro though from list 1 to 2. That mobility/re-direction might come in handy. I would make the RS for Gyro trade, personally. And organ gun for cannon, unless again, you're expecting double cannon. the other thing you could do is bring miners or rangers to deal with that.
