I'd suggest you keep the chimera away from the Warlocks (aside from breathing on them but looks like you didn't take that upgrade)
They have a ward and poison. So high strength attacks are less useful and high toughness isn't much of a defense. You want lots of low strength attacks from a source that doesn't care about poison (either cheap wounds or highly armored wounds.) Magic missiles are good. The heavily armored and warded characters can handle it maybe but they might lose combat on static combat resolution (and every wound your opponent sneaks through is worth 100 or so points) Chaos warriors are great for this role but can't get into combat against them except on your opponents terms.
Flanking chariot is also good.

This assumes though that he even takes the warlocks.
And if he's only taking a minimum sized unit (he should unless he's using it as a bus for mounted characters) you're only looking at 1-2 wounds per combat phase due to poison. You'll still have a 5+ armor and then your 4+ regen to take against it. A chimera I would think is a decent (not good, but good in a pinch) choice for taking them down as it can actually catch them. Also your flying characters can put the hurt on them. With a good armor save you don't have anything to worry about against them unless you're just unlucky.
And every turn your chimera is chasing them/fighting them is a turn the chimera isn't fighting something it excels against, such as his bolt throwers/spears/crossbows.
The problem usually is catching them. They're M9 and have vanguard so turn 1 they can be behind you (same goes for his dark riders so watch out for this) if you're not careful with your placing. Then good luck trying to nail them down.

Where you're going to suffer against a good DE player is mobility. He'll have more chaff, more cav, and overall faster units. Use your fliers to put pressure on him, otherwise he's going to dictate the combats... to your detriment.
On the other hand his shooting isn't likely to be a huge problem. Even LOTS of S3 shooting is still just S3 shooting.

Hope you really enjoy the game. Seasoned Dark elves players (if your opponent is) always have a very desperately cunning mindset honed duirng the 6th edition so you would have a good chess day. By the way, love the fact the the forum is bursting with activity right now
