Haha units of 70 goblins don't care about a measly 3D6 hits!

Knowing my luck, I'd suffer 18 deaths, lose 25% of the horde and wind up fleeing, bouncing through units and off the board! Lol! That would be rather hilarious though!

Lol, you had me thinking, "I REALLY don't know NEARLY as much about O&G as I thought I did!" So does this give you more pause when considering between Goblins and Night Goblins? -----------No, Goblin Fanatics are still expensive (as they should be, for their potential damage output is great) and I don't like spending too many points on them. Though they are certainly more difficult to deal with in 8th edition.

Haha units of 70 goblins don't care about a measly 3D6 hits! More amusingly, with the 7th ed armybook, the option always existed to take the Madcap Mushroom Enchanted Item, letting you reroll the number of hits Fanatics would inflict, so you could reroll high numbers as they hit your dudes, and low number as they hit the enemy.

One thing I noticed today was that you could make one of the best casters in the game with Gobbos... unfortunately we don’t have access to the 8 brb lores 🙁 Also, it isn’t the most competitive as it costs too many points but it will be a good laugh in big games. here goes:
First you get a nice lvl4 night gobbo shaman and give him the book of ashur. Secondly, you need a lvl3 common goblin on an arachnarok with the catchweb nearby...
The result is a “lvl5” night gobbo that casts at D6+7 bonus and every succesful cast can remove dispel dice from the opponent 😳 he also dispells at +5. You can 2 dice every spell in the little waagh... hahaha

The lowest casting value you can get on 2 dice without auto failing the spell is 11 and the highest you can get without casting with irresistable force is 24...

A useful and nice tactica for someone like me popping back.. Gobbos are fun but I am more into orcs.. Having some cheap Gobbos to throw away to benefit the Orcs is fine though, hehe. Weedy gits.

Great to see gobbos literally punching above the waist. People always under estimate them, I've fought gonna only armies loads but only won once. Nice tactics, thanks.
