So I just picked up a good amount of DE and among them was a partly assembled chariot/cauldron of blood. He wanted to build the Bloodwrack Shrine and gave away the Khain statue I wonder if anyone has spare parts or know a good place to find the statue. Will try to magnetise to be able to use both.

Well, shoot. I hope you haven't purchased it yet. I just got a Cauldron and I was going to use something else instead of that statue. I could send it to you for free if you want. (The statue part at least. I'm still going to use the Cauldron part.) I'm planning on using this guy instead.

This is basically what I want to do. Minus the ninjas. Hopefully, I'll be getting an air brush for Christmas, so that I can start getting my models painted to this level of quality. That's the goal, at least.

Awakened Realms paint jobs are amazing. They had an Empire army on sale a while back and if I'd had the spare £3,000 I would have picked that one up. mottdon awesome figure, where is that one from?

Awesome idea for the cauldron.
That is a Nightbringer from the “tomb kings of the future” aka Necrons

Yep. That's C'tan Shard the Nightbringer. 40K Necron model. I got one through eBay. It's coming from England, so it still has around a week to get here.

Awesome idea for the cauldron. That is a Nightbringer from the “tomb kings of the future” aka Necrons Yeah it's a lovely model. I'd like to also get The Deceiver one day. For anyone who would like to play Nightbringer in their 8th Edition games I posted his rules in the expansion section of this forum a while back. He is a 250 point pick that is somewhat of a glass cannon. I got the Khaine statue off ebay bits world. Don't regret painting it up solo and run it as a Daemon Prince on a 50mm base ("The Dark Avatar"). It's a very cool model.

In what army can you take the nightbringer? Is it fanmade rules or official?
A model that I think looks amazeballs is the Incarnate Elemental of Fire. One day when I think my painting skills are good enough I will buy it as a center piece of an army.

Oh, I've always wanted all elementals in the game somehow. Certain armies could be more attuned to "summon" certain elementals, like Dwarfs could be better at summoning Earth and Fire elementals, High Elves - Wind and Water, etc.
I've also thought that there should be a subset of Dwarfs - Gnomes (like Gnoblars are to Ogres, but more respected than that) who could have an innate ability to "commune" with Rock Golems. They would escort these Golems into battle as a Packmaster does with Rat Ogres. Basically be Dwarfs monstrous infantry. Of course, if the Gnome(s) are lost, then the Golems are subject to a misfire table. On a roll of 6, the Golem will go into a rampage just like a monster who has lost their rider, 2-5 the Golem is subject to Stupidity, on a roll of 1, the Golem crumbles to dust.
I feel that this would add an interesting element to building a Dwarf army list because they could have a Monstrous Infantry unit with a good movement value, finally, but they wouldn't necessarily be a MI unit that you'd just throw at your enemy, as most are. They'd require more finesse than most.
Who knows. Maybe I'll write up some of these rules for everyone once I get a set of Golem and Gnome creatures that I like.

Interesting idea.
The 9th Age has something along those lines for the dwarfs. Maybe use that as a starting point?

Yeah, I was one of those who pushed for them to be added when 9th age was getting started. I'm glad they adopted them, but there was just too much change from 8th for me to like it. I'll stick with 8th and add a few things here and there when me and my friends want to play with them.

Right there with you, mottdon. T9A started out strong as 'NextHammer'.... but somewhere along the way the crew decided to do 'NotHammer' instead and lost a lot of us who were only looking for 'NextHammer'.
