And no one bother asking the real (WFB) questions I think if you carefully read the AoS questions you get some clear answers on WFB 8th and some of the thought processes around it's demise - at least per the briefs given to the rules designers from management.

Yes on why it went sour but we need to know if/when they will pick it up again They will eventually pick it up; can't see anything else it's just a matter of time. Just hoping it will be in my lifetime

I hated having to sift through 100 questions about 40K and Specialist Games to get to the few AoS questions there were.
But what I took away from it was that they were just tired of the old world. They wanted to do something else. (aka, they lost their court battles and were looking for a new game that they could call their own.) Also, under the previous management, they got it wrong. (It was the test pilot for 40K so that they didn't screw up their cash cow.) Now, they're doing what they can with a new game, and it's turning around. (Which of course it will with new players coming to the hobby each passing year. That's inevitable.)
Even for a former employee, they will still regurgitate the same info that they were spoon fed while they worked there. It's what they were told on a daily basis and that kind of line of thinking is hard to break. It's their default setting.
Again, I'm glad he took the initiative to do something like that (since GW isn't). I also don't mind that they made AoS. I just don't understand WHY they had to destroy the Old World! It just makes so much sense to use AoS as a gateway game for something larger. That was the simple solution to getting newcomers into 8th.
