These do look great. Had never seen that standard bearer. Cool model! Thx! Yes they have their own command models, next batch will have the champion too(he got a real “blue steel” look). Whenever I get to them is not sure though but it was a joy painting them so might be pretty close 😃. If i remember correctly most people don’t run command on scouts so it might be a reason you seldom see them painted.

Love the old Gary Morley scouts. They are one thing missing from my collection.

Managed to finally complete an other 10 waywatchers to bring the painted level up to 20. Also finished a spell weaver on steed. Used some alternative green colors on these to break up the monotone. Had these on my painting table since summer so feels nice to finally put them on the shelf painted.

Still struggling with how to take photons with my iPhone.
Colors and sharpness is so hard to control. Always gets too blue or too yellow. Might start using my Old Nikon camera soon.

Have a read of that thread I posted in the general section, some good info in there. With my phone (Galaxy S10) you can change general settings and it probably wants to be around 30cm from the mini.

Unfortunately the built in app on iPhone has very few settings. I have started to elaborate with Lightroom App from Adobe.

Lovely work, the old and new waywatchers look suprisingly good together (big fan of the old ones).

I love your work, strutsagget! I've watched you develop as a painter SO MUCH over the past few years! And you've really accomplished an absolute ton! I admire your commitment to your armies/game, and thanks for sharing all of it.
If you're wanting better pics, then I think you need to focus (pun intended) on your set-up. Lighting mostly. You need two lamps, with daylight bulbs, on either side of your models, approximately 45° on either side of you, in orientation to your models. The daylight bulbs will eliminate most of the need for color alterations. Find that sweet spot away from your models to capture enough detail, but not pixelate the image. (Something I really struggle with myself)
I'm not sure what phone camera you're using, but I use a Google Pixel 3a for everything and I've loved it for years now. High quality pics are why I initially got it. It has a built-in adjustment setting that you can opt for, but I don't use it much, other that to crop my images sometimes, if I need to.

Thank you for the kind words 🙏 So I have a lot of philips hue natural day lights/leds in my painting room all from different direction. Still the photo from the iPhone looks totally different from the miniature in front of me. Maybe I should just use my little led light white house anyway. I am not super interested in taking perfect magazine photos. Just want the colors too look like the models I painted :/
