I'd like to preface this by saying I didn't do anything terrible... I was involved in some illegal meme-ing and got a slap on the wrist... This is a copy of a battle report my Fiance posted on my behalf while i was in facebook jail. It had been a little while since i had played and despite some rules issues like him tricking me into letting him fire in three ranks with this thunderers and all of his dwarves some how having eternal hatred... well... I'm posting for Rene because he's in FB jail! Rene & his little brother had a 4000 pt game yesterday, Druchii vs Dawi. The game was over at the initial set up. His brother measured up the wrong unit and ended up having to set up his mass of thunderers behind his other units. That cost him a round of shooting (A huge mistake because it gave Rene time to get into position for a charge with his master, keeping them from shooting almost the entire game), as he had to manoeuvre them during the movement phase. During the opening turn both sides moved up. No real effective shooting from either of the boys. Turn two saw the medusa get turned into a big old pile of snake jelly. 7 Witches got shot, 2 corsairs got squished by a very big rock and the dwarves soiled themselves as they braced for the Khanite Charge! Rene's Witches, Sisters of Slaughter and Executioners all charged their targets successfully. At this point Rene told me you guys were brainstorming with him and the general consensus was that all the slayers would die... they did but so did the witches! It was a blood bath! the Witches destroyed 37 (almost 2/3) of the slayers in one round BUT due to amazing rolling Ungrim survived his fight with Hellebron (Saving 8 out of 9 wounds with his ward save) and then proceeded to cut her head off! Poor Rene's mouth fell open he couldn't believe it! To add insult to injury the slayers, with their death throes and the remaining attacks back killed 27 Witches. Being that the sisters were there,negating ranks, the body count and all that Rene had a solid win and stayed in combat. The right flank had the executioners lead by Tullaris and a hydra chewing through dwarves like no ones business. The dwarves needed snake eyes to hold and they did! Rene's round 2 combat saw him finish off the rest of the slayers and put another wound on Ungrim. The slayers killed 12 more witches. Witches won again but the slayer king was unbreakable. The executioners finished off the dwarf lord and his warriors and over run into the dwarf artillery.
The pirates shot at the dwarf canon in front of them. Rene's Master on manticore kept the Thunderers busy by challenging and drawing combat. Round 3 combat, no real effective shooting, the pirates charged the artillery, Ungim FINALY died and the executioners mopped up the artillery on the right. The master and his mount lost his fight and fled, the dwarves restrained pursuit so they could shoot next turn. All of Rene's units that could, moved up for a turn 4 charge into the thunderers. Turn 4 and the thunderers shot the sisters. A combined charge of Executioners, witches, sisters of slaughter and the cold one chariot spelled doom for the thunderers. The thunderers stood and shot at the witches killing them all bar the cauldron the resulting bloodbath resulted in the 22 dwarfs left needing snake eyes to stay... aaand the stubborn midgets rolled it! Turn 5 and the pirates charged into the dwarf rear, after the combat only a handful of dwarves remained, the boys rolled 3 for variable game length and the game ended at turn 5 with a solid victory for the Dark Elves!
