Just chiming in here -
My 3 year old (well, 2y 11m) helped me paint Wood Elfs last night.
She has her own brushes, and she sits right next to daddy at the desk.
Obv, I didn't let her do complex or breakable or metal miniatures.
What I did: gave her a pile of old mid 1990's plastic elves.
Whatever color I have wet on the palette is what she uses.
I got lucky last night and she grinded through about 5 Wood Elf cloaks in a dark green.
It was actual helpful basecoating work. Livin' the dream.
She also got into painting glue, i.e. flocking. She paints Elmer's white glue on a base and then dips it in the flock.
I think she likes this process so much because it's kinda like how we do glitter. Also, glitter is terrible.
Anyway -
She likes outside (pool) the most, then pink/princess, etc etc but I am happy to report that painting rounds out the top 5.
Gotta be sneaky and get her doing an army of pink female elves ASAP.
