Hello everyone, I wanted to present my mangler squig conversion. This conversion was done because I dont like the mangler mini sold by GW, because it is: -too big -too expensive -not looking good -too big Did I mention that it is too big? No seriously, it does not fit with the other great cave squigs released by GW, like Skarsniks pet or the one ridden by a nightgoblin boss. I used the "gnaws" from kromlech as squigs in this project and chained some GW plastic fanatics to them.

this looks great, the fanatics fit in really well. my only tiny bit of criticism is that second chain (the one not between the squigs) is a bit too straight. could you bend it and then re-glue? or if you need to keep it straight put some kind of weight on the end so it follows the laws of physics a bit more.

The chain is fixed with super glue, so bending is not an option. The squig was meant to thrust with full speed forward, thats why I gave the the chain the same angle as the fanatic. But I guess you are right it looks a bit strange, maybe I will attach a weight to it. Thanks for the suggestion.

Nice conversion, and I'm tempted to make something similar myself. I'm surprised you don't like the look of GW's mangler squigs - my impression was that most people liked the appearance but didn't get the model because the resin meant the model collapsed under its own weight. Oh, and the expense.

I'm lovin' it! Great take on the Manglers! Where did you get those Squigs from again? I've never heard of that company. Could you post a link?

I have started to paint the mangler and I managed to bend the loose chain a little.

I also really like this. I’ve never bought the mangler squig if only for the reasons given above but this is a definite option. Thanks for sharing.

I really rate the conversion and am impressed with the knockoff squigs. They certainly look the part.
Nice work with the chains.
