Everywhere I go I seem to be bombarded with adverts for their Minotaurs. I’d never heard of them before a few weeks ago. Has anyone picked up any of their miniatures?

Not me, but I do like their looks.
I'm afraid that a lot of Kickstarter campaigns like this will go unnoticed since there seem to be so many great ones (Reaper Bones 4, Lost Kingdom Miniatures, etc.) that are all coming out in relative quick order. I suppose people are starting to figure out how to design and where to get their productions made and shipped from. Good news for us I suppose!

At a quick glance their ogres look good, though a little different aesthetically from GW ones (mainly in the faces). When I get around to starting an OK army, the characters might be useful - but the GW plastics look fine for regular units, so I wouldn't build an army out of these guys.

Yeah, I don't think that I'll be backing this one because I already have pretty much all the foot Ogre soldiers that I want, but if I didn't, then this would be very tempting for me. The thing I like the most about these, is the variety in appearance between each one. Some are fat, some are muscular, and all of the heads look COMPLETELY different! I really like that. It makes looking at each individual Ogre an adventure. The GW ones, while still very good, are a virtual carbon copy of the one next to them. They even vary the height of each ogre a bit. And the Tyrant is a full head taller than the others, the way you'd expect the biggest and baddest of them all to be.
