The jungles of Lustria are inhospitable and having traveled through the World Roots into the outskirts of the Tlaxtlan, a Wood Elf army led by a Branchwraith - and followed closely by her group of fanatical Dryads - knew they’d have no trouble and maybe even a bit of fun with any Lizardmen who might approach. They didn’t count on Tetto’eko himself stepping out to meet them though.

Lizards are a tough match-up when your army is almost entirely S3 and you've got only 5 models with poisoned attacks. There wasn't really much that could threaten the Stagadon, and once the Dryad's Hatred wore out the Saurus were always going to beat them. That said, I admire the Wood Elf player for trying to build their list around a Dryad horde - but I think to make it work you need some units that make up for their weakness - so high strength from a Treeman/Wild Riders/Wildwood Rangers, or more poison with Hagbane Tips on the Glade Guard.

Good victory for the Lizards. It was a bold move deploying the dryads in horde and not having ranks. It really relied on them breaking opponents due to casualties, as they wouldn’t have steadfast or a banner to boost them and against Lizards with cold blood, that would always be a very tough proposition. To make it work he really needed wyssans or something to reduce your toughness and this maximise damage. Although it didn’t matter, the waywatchers shouldn’ t have taken a panic test in the first turn if they only lost 1 of the unit of 5 (Unless the spell makes them auto take one£.
