So, since my Empire army is based out of Middenheim, I thought I'd give a Cult of Ulric army list a chance. I mostly based the units and point costs from the Chronicles 2004 and Storm of Chaos (2004) books. It definitely isn't perfect, or very competitive for that matter, but it IS thematic, which is the whole point in making a list like this. I also wanted to try out Boris, who, along with the other Elector Counts, is sorely missing from the 8th edition Empire book. So here goes.

Obviously, the strength of the army will be in the Knight units, though, they will be followed up by some really strong infantry blocks. I added a cannon for good measure and to handle things like Mangler Squigs that could rip up my blocks. Boris, Grand Master and mounted Warrior Priest will push ahead with the Knights Panther, while the Knights of the White Wolf and Winter Wolves attempt to collapse in from the sides. Ar Ulric will go with the Teutogen Guard, Vorn Thugenheim (he has a special rule which lets any units within 6" of him use his leadership value as well as being the army BSB) will be in the Swords of Ulric, and the other Warrior Priest will be with the Wolf-Kin. That will spread out the Stubborn and Hatred among the second wave attackers as well as having a strong defensive assist in leadership from the BSB in a highly defensive unit (the Swords of Ulric have a -1 to hit special rule built in and since Boris is in the army, they can take a magic banner up to 50 points).
Banner of Middenheim - grants immune to Fear and Terror
Standard of the White Wolf - missile fire suffers -1S (this includes magic missiles)
Banner of the Warrior True - When they have to take a Break test, they can reduce the number by D3, up to the unit's unmodified Ld value.
Winter's Bite - To Hit rolls of 6, wound automatically
Wolf Helm of the Teutogens - +1 to armor and the wearer may take a Ld test at the start of every CC phase. If passed, he gains +1S for that phase.
Brothers of the Axe - may reroll all failed To Wound rolls. (This one makes me think a Beast Wizard might be a better option for Wyssian's Wildform alone.)
