I'm so glad someone recognized him!
The helmet was added. I took the helmet off the Miner's spare bits where it is resting atop the shovel in the ground and clipped off the horn. I punched a tiny hole in it's center and hallowed it out with a hobby knife.
The shield was added as well, and I cut one end from his axe and notched it with my hobby knife.
So glad you like him!

Currently, I'm working on finishing off my 50 Warriors. I had previously completed 20, was about halfway on another 10, and had 20 that were merely assembled. I'm making a lot of progress on them, but with that many, it still takes a while. I should have them done in this month, though. Unless something unforeseen happens.

I'm not familiar with Bruenor Battlehammer, but it's a class conversion and paint-job you've done on that model. Your dwarves are an inspiration, and I'm looking forward to seeing the full Warrior horde.

Thanks!
Bruenor Battlehammer is a CLASSIC Dwarf character from the Legend of Drizzt books. He doesn't show up until around the 4th book (I think), but I'd in the remaining 9 books (13 total), and then a few more spin-off stories as well. He wears a horned helmet with one broken horn, and a "many-notched-axe" that are very signature to his character. I HIGHLY recommend those books! I ultimately want to make each one of the characters as a mini Mordheim band too. Something like the fellowship of the ring

Progress is coming along nicely with these Warriors. I'll let this wash dry tonight and then start dry brushing and highlighting tomorrow evening.

They look great - that's a proper sized dwarf unit. Is the command group Avatars of War models?

Yes, they are! I got them years ago, and thought that they fit in rather well with these Warriors. Honestly, I didn't have many other units that they'd go well with.

Very nice mate. A standard horde of GW warriors is the final piece of my dwarf army. I just can’t bring myself to do it and can always field miners instead to use as proxies.

It's not an easy task to undertake! But it does feel very gratifying when on display on a table-top! I have several more that I'll need to do, but then, I DO have quite a LARGE Dwarf army!
