So amazingly - a game store in my city is doing a WFB tournament next week! Its a bit of a drive from me and a loooong day. But I have never done one before (only been a casual player with friends and drinks) and it may be my only chance. So I am pretty tempted. The only rule is nothing over 375 points which ironically just cuts down my warrior unit from 24 to 18. This is what I am toying with at the moment; Nurgle Sorc lord, general, lvl 3, familiar, armour of destiny, ironcurse icon Goes in 17 nurgle warriors, HW/shld, full command, standard of discipline Khorne exalted hero, BSB, daemonic mount, talisman of preservation, enchanted shield Goes in 3 skullcrushers, enscorcelled weapons, full command 18 warriors, nurgle, halberds, standard, mus gorebeast chariot of nurgle chimera, flaming breath, regen spawn of tzeench Comes out to exactly 2000 points! This is pretty much what I have to play around with. Any general or specific tournament advice?

- Add some chaos doggies (and/or marauder horsemen if you have them). - FCG on skullcrushers isn't necessary (It's most commonly champ'll be challenged => lose unit power. Save mus+banner (may add Gleaming pendant cos they have frenzy - it helps). - Some doupts about bsb (maybe "old fashioned way" - Barded daemonic mount+GW+ArmorofDestiny+ScaledSkin is better? Or simple dragonhelm+GW/flail on him). If you are planning to sit him in crushers - maybe your version with him and fcg crushers is ok. - Nurgle all your warriors also isn't necessary, it's better to save points on something else. - I think scroll on sorc is better than additional spell (we are for the stability). - What's about Hellcannon? I'm not a fan of cheesy "Nurgle broken DP" (especially on such format)...but it's possible (without magic, sadly) In any case - do as you wish and have fun

I think that you should consider finding room to give the sorcerer lvl 4 and a dispel scroll, aswell as throw in a couple of dogs into the list as already suggested. The chimera might also be somewhat risky without a quicker general to lend it some much needed ld. If you're going with two units of Warriors then I think you might be better off replacing the monster with a Hellcannon. One thing I've personally had some sucess with is using two of Gorebeast of Chariots of Nurgle as a stand in for a regiment of warriors. While they will be slower they will have a big charge distance and not many things will be able to stand up against a their combined charges. They are also tough as nails to wound and provide you with some much needed target saturation when facing cannons.

Will echo what others have said about the dogs and the lvl4.
You're going to want to make sure your Skullcrushers have some kind of protection/guard. Otherwise a 23 point unit of giant rats can make them overrun off to the sides of the board away from anything and keep them from making contact with anything substantial all game.

Thanks for the feedback! So that sets my expectations, definitely a casual list not a tournament list then. It is very hard to fit what I want to into 2k. The familiar is more a fluff choice because I have a miniature for it. Lack of scroll can be a bit painful. I do have a nice Hellcannon model. I unfortunately cannot fit both it and the Skullcrushers into the same list though even if I get rid of full command.... (14 points over the 25% limit). I have also always found that the Hellcannon doesn't make its points back. I use my chimera as support and flank charge it with a unit in the front so leadership rarely matters. Oooh I looked at the list again - it is the spawn that makes me unable to fit the crushers and a cannon. So if I drop spawn and chimera, add hounds, make sorc lvl 4 with scroll I have 70 points left. Not sure what I would do with those 70 points though.. WoC are forced to issue challenges if possible so he really protects the character if needed. Also agree I wouldn't normally put BSB with crushers. A BSB would go in the warrior unit with the sorc. But again, ran out of points..

In my experience, and depending on the army you're facing, that Skullcrusher champion can get you the extra VPs for underdog victory as well. I say keep him.
I'd use the extra 70 points to buy a couple units of dogs. If nothing else they can drop first as a way to help out with deployment - see where your opponent places his units and then you can choose your matchups better

Not that it would help you much in terms of the 70 extra points but something I just realised is that it might be a good idea to switch out the Enchanted shield on the BSB for a halberd to give him some added damage capacity. He's already sitting on a 2+ armour save so the added defense from the magic shield won't do much. If you really want him to have a 1+ armour save against ranged attacks you could always give him a normal shield. You could then spend the availible extra points on a Potion of Foolhardiness to make him a pip more devastating in his first charge.
