Another old game that I dug up... it was played in 2015.
Babenheim is a small Imperial town we invented that gets attacked by Orcs and Goblins. For some reason, the Orcs had a mercenary unit... the Cursed Company.
We used the siege rules from Blood in the Badlands, but we mixed them with the rules for destroying buildings from the Raze and Ruin scenario that can be found in the rule book. That means, it is possible to destroy fortress sections completely.
If I remember directly, we had a system that the attacker gets VP for every fortress section that he keeps occupied until the end of the game or that is destroyed. Destroyed buildings that are not part of the fortress are worth half VP. If the attacker has x VP at the end (whatever x was), he wins.
This won't be a detailed battle report (cause that isn't possible - it's seven years ago and I don't have detailed notes), but a short summary of what happened.
This is the town called Babenheim (or, let's say, a part of it).
Some of the buildings I painted/built myself, but I also bought some painted houses.
I think this was the first Hirstarts building I ever did. I would do it very differently today.
Some other part of the town.
And now, the Orcs and Goblins attack!
From the defender's perspective...
The battle goes on...
That Wyvern flew over the wall where its rider got shot down... and now the Wyvern is sitting there, unwilling to move.
The Orcs had occupied the gate section. Then, a Cannon and the Steam Tank shot at these Orcs, thereyby destroying their own gate completely. On the left, you can see that the Cursed Company occupied a wall section.
In the end, the O&G got 1 VP for that wall, 1 VP for the destroyed gate section (although the Empire did it themselves) and 1/2 VP for a half-timbered house that got hit by rock lobber. That wasn't enough, so this game was a Victory for the Empire.
And I remember it was a lot of fun!
