If I cast an augment on a unit of cavalry. Does the spell effect only the rider or both the rider and the mount.
e.g. Birona's Timewarp on a unit of Knights - Does this give ASF (&+1 attack) to only the rider or to the mount as well?
If (as I assume) it is just the rider who benefits, then I also assume the same must be true for Hexes
e.g. Iceshard blizzard on a unit of knights - The rider would be -1 to hit, but the horse would not be?
Thanks as ever for your thoughts.

Here is one we prepared earlier. Generally, a spell that targets a unit, self-evidently targets every element of that unit, unless specifically stated otherwise. It is so self-evident that the BRB does not actually state it in the Magic section, but as an aside in the section about characters: BRB p. 100: "On the other hand, many spells and magic items bestow special rules and other effects on units. In this case, everyone (including the character) in the combined unit will be affected."

Would wysaans Wildform cast on a chariot increase the Strength of the chassis for impact hits?

Since Impact Hits "roll to wound using the Strength of the model making the Impact Hits"(BRB p.71), and not "the Strength on the profile" or "the unmodified Strength," that is indeed the case.

I had some guy argue against me at a tournament a few years back - it baffled me why he thought it wouldn't affect the chariot. We debated to and fro for about a min 😂

Thanks - so I understand from this in the example of timewarp both the knight and the horse would get an extra attack and both would get always strikes first. And equally in the example of ice shard blizzard both would be at -1 to hit.

That is correct.
