So I really want to use these in a game of 8th. Since many armies already have a monstrous cavalry unit, it'd be nice for O&G to have one too, especially since they are an army of brutes and it'd be so appropriate.
I need help writing some rules for them that would fit though. Can anyone make suggestions? Kevin?
I'll try to start us off.

M WS BS S T W I A Ld Black Orc: - 4 3 4 4 1 2 1 8 Grunta: 7 3 - 5 5 3 3 3 5
Special Rules: Animosity, Choppas (rider only), Size Matters, Armed to da Teef, Almost (rider only): At the beginning of close combat, the rider may choose to use a Great Weapon, Sword and Shield or Spear and Shield. Thick-skinned: +2 to rider's armor save. Tusker Impaler: D6 impact hits on the turn it charges in. Wiv' me Ladz!: The Gore-gruntas and any unit of Orc Boar Boyz, Savage Orc Boar Boyz, Orc Boar Chariots or characters mounted on Boars, within 6", gain Always Strikes First on the turn they charge into combat.
So that's a start. What do you guys think? They should hit harder than a regular boar, but they shouldn't be over powered. Please discuss.

I wrote up so similar rules a while back, I gave the riders 3A, since they are so large. I don't think they need the ASF rule for units within 6", the special part about them is that they are simply a monstrous cav option. You can check out what I wrote here: New Orcs & Goblins

Awesome! I figured something had been written on them (by you!) but I couldn't find it. (I think you must've written this wen I had to drop off for a little while since the quads were needing so much attention as babies. Thanks for showing me! And yes! It's very similar to what I was thinking. This will do great since I just bought a box of 3 off eBay for $50.

I believe I had the rider similar to yours, but other members of the forum convinced me to make them better, equal to the Slaughter Boyz. The models are really large.

They look good, though, I think I will probably drop the Orcs number of attacks by 1. That would give the normal Orcs 2 attacks and the Boss 3 attacks. I think that the main feature of the unit should be the Boar-creature and not the Orc on his back. I like that he's better than a human knight, but he doesn't need to be as good as a hero. I'll play test them when I get them in, painted and actually play a game. We'll see how they do.
