Da Boyz Grand Tournament 2017 - Warhammer Fantasy 8th Edition Event Rules
Warhammer Fantasy 8th Edition at Da Boyz will offer three days of gaming fun with the right event for everyone. Hosted by the Eighth Edition for Life (EEFL) Forum, our events will be organized by Kevin Coleman and Rich Salamone. To learn more about the EEFL collaboration or to find an 8th edition game prior to our event, please visit: eefl.freeforums.net/
Eighth Edition For Life (EEFL) gaming promotes the preservation of the 8th Edition rules set of Warhammer Fantasy Battles, along with our affection for the Old World, its rich and vast lore, and cast of valiant heroes and vile villains. Our hope is that other WFB players will embrace these ideals and play armies that reflect true – Warhammer Fantasy Battles.
WARHAMMER FANTASY BATTLES EVENTS
Friday will be a Triumph & Treachery multi-player battle starting in the evening, followed by a one-day, four-game, escalation tournament on Saturday and conclude with a multi-player Storm of Magic mega-game on Sunday.
All armies must be fully painted and flocked for all of the 8th edition events.
Registration: $40 for the entire weekend. If you can’t make all three days there is an option to register for $10 for Friday, $25 for Saturday, and $10 for Sunday.

Game Time: 7pm – 11pm

THE EIGHTH EDITION FOR LIFE PRESENTS: WARHAMMER FANTASY BATTLES – A NARRATIVE ESCALATION TOURNAMENT
The EEFL Warhammer Narrative Escalation Tournament will consist of four games at the following points levels:
Game 1 = 750 pts
Game 2 = 1,500 pts
Game 3 = 2,000 pts
Game 4 = 2,500 pts
ARMY BUILDING
All units in your initial 750-point army must be included in all of your subsequent escalated armies. In addition, any new units added in a subsequent, larger army, must be included in all the remaining escalated armies for this tournament. Units may, however, increase in unit size and/or include additional upgrade options, though you may not decrease any unit sizes or take away equipment/options the unit already has.
For example, if you have a unit of 20 Dwarf Warriors with great weapons in your initial 750-point army then this unit must be included in all of your remaining escalation armies. In your army list for Game 2 (1,500 pts), you could increase the size of the Dwarf unit, equip the Dwarfs with shields, and/or add a command group. You cannot "downgrade" the unit. You could not, for example, lower the unit to 10 models, or remove their great weapons, etc.
Army Generals and Characters
For game 1, your Army General may be any character or unit champion with the highest Leadership value (unless restricted by an army list, etc.). The character/champion appointed to general in the initial game represents a trusted lieutenant or advisor to your main army general who will appear in all three of the following games. Starting with your army list in Game 2, the Army General you choose for your 1,500-point list must remain the Army General in your army lists for Game 3 and Game 4.
Additionally, like all units, all characters you chose in your initial army list (and subsequent escalating army lists) must be included in every subsequent army list. Like other units, characters may take additional equipment, mounts, magic items, magic levels, etc., but you cannot take anything away from them. For example, a Level 1 Wizard (we'll call him Conrad Firebrander) equipped with a Dispel Scroll in your 750-point army, must be included in each following escalated army. You could upgrade Conrad to a Level 2 Wizard, give him additional magic items, and/or give him a mount, but you could not take away Conrad’s Dispel Scroll. If Conrad were a Level 2 Wizard, you could not downgrade him to Level 1.
ARMY LISTS AND SUPPLEMENTS
All official 8th Edition Army books (including Skaven and Beastmen), as well as units and army lists from all official Games Workshop and Forge World publications are allowed. This includes The End Times series of supplements and Tamurkhan: The Throne of Chaos.
In addition, the following EEFL supplements and army lists are allowed:
• Warhammer: Grom
• The Grand Army of Bretonnia (Draft IV)*
• The Stormhosts of Sigmar (Draft IV)
• Warhammer: Allied Contingents**
*Note: if playing Bretonnians, the EEFL army list must be used. The 6th edition GW army book is far outdated for 8th edition WFB and may not be used (sorry).
**Players may recruit allies as described in these rules for Game 4 (2,500 pts) only.
NAMING
All units and characters included in each of your escalating armies must be named on your army roaster. For example, a unit of 6 Ogres with full command will need to have a unit name on the army roaster, such as "Rockgut’s Angry Bulls.” In game, units without names on the army roster will be wounded automatically when hit by any attack.
PAINTED MODELS
All models must be fully painted with flocked bases!!! If they are not fully painted with flocked bases, the tournament judge (who will represent the various deities of WFB) will strike down any model that is not fully painted or without a flocked base. The models will immediately be removed from the table and count as casualties.
A fully painted model must have at least three colors, not including primer.

Game 1: 9:00 – 10:30 am
Game 2: 10:45 am – 1:00 pm
