Nice to have you, copperpotmd! You're in luck, as our resident Administrator, KevinC, is THE O&G guru! He's been published in White Dwarf magazine and everything! We usually look to him to write us rules for new AoS units so that we can use them with our 8th edition armies. I, myself, have a unit of Orc Grunta Boys that I use with my O&G, following the rules he wrote. You can kinda see them off to the left in this pic:

I'm interested in seeing some of those rules for the AoS models, the models they are pushing out now look great. Thanks for the welcome!

Well well well. Introduction time. I'm Nevindar, or Christopher if we're going down that route... Been playing Warhammer since 5th ed, 6th is my one and true love and is now about to take the plunge and test out 8th edition! Might be a good thing to do, right? Was introduced to this forum by saniles who dropped by our podcast page (theoldworldlives@facebook) and...well, told us to go over here and check out the forum, really! Other games I play in descending fantasy order: Warmaster, Mordheim, Age of Darkness (30k), Necromunda.... /Nevindar

Welcome Nevindar. I'm interested in hearing about your new journey into WFB 8th edition! If you're use to 6th edition, it might seem weird at first, but stay with it. I find that it's the most balanced edition (all things considered) and has a nice blend of elements from 4/5th edition and 6/7th editions.

Welcome Nevindar. Have you been playing new Necromunda? Had a demo game at Origins Game Fair and really liked it.

Thank you all for the welcome I've urged the rest of the podcast crew to join up as well so... hopefully some of them will! saniles How did you find it? Feedback is never a bad thing (if worded properly ) KevinC It will be interesting for me as well haha, but as long as fun is had any adjustment will probably be worth it gjnoronh Have played both "back in the days" and the new release. Quite like the new release although mainly played Goliath vs Escher. Not a good starting matchup, but fun. Speaking of, episode 4 is recorded and will be out soon... Kislev, oh so much kislev. And a forum shoutout, hope that was ok /Nevindar

nevindar so I heard about it on here in one of the other threads actually. This far I like that your podcast is semi-structured. It’s not rigid, but it does provide some idea of what will be covered with the obvious allowance for some side tracking. I think it would be worth including some battle reports in the podcasts as you battle in 8th Ed.

Thank you for the feedback! Battle reports are definitely in the works, both as part of the podcast and on social media. Getting a bit in a "must game now" mood... Just need to choose between my Dwarfs or Dark Elves. Hm hm, stay tuned!

Welcome nevindar! Nice to see another Mordheim player in the group! And Age of Darkness too! I've recently taken the plunge back into that although I have a hard time finding opponents now that 8th edition has dropped. People seem to prefer that for some reason...

Lewis - 33
Started playing 4th edition as a child, I remember the awful exact copy plastic clone high elves and goblins.
Collected dwarfs, empire, orcs and goblins and undead back then.
Had a while out, got back into it just as they were coming out with all the end times garbage and the eventual Age of Skidmark.
Collected all the 8th edition army books now and other gubbins. Awaiting copy of triumph and treachery to arrive in the post. Started collecting warriors of chaos just as they were replacing my beloved game with the crap gw is pumping out now, I mean kcufing seriously, fish people? Flying turtle and shark junk, space marines, renaming everything to omg I have to stop, I'm going to get angry.
I still have my old citadel mostly metal dwarf and empire armies, stripped the paint, converted, based etc and slowly getting painted, about 3000 of each, and have amassed about 10,000 points of Warriors of chaos.
I follow old world wars in Facebook. But the sad thing is, I've never played a game of warhammer as an adult. The game and world (that gw killed) I have loved my whole life. I have amassed over 1000 hours on total war warhammer series.
But I would love to find someone, ideally more than one person to actually play the game with. Perhaps it will never happen, I sacrifice to Tzeentch to curse gw for their extortionate prices and for destroying 8th, and I pray to Sigmar to bless them for creating it in the first place.
Long live 8th.
