Noticed this thread on the Warhammer forum page warhammer.org.uk/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=132906&sid=08d6c1f10b3d7b061da70b94089cb3b4Interesting that someone continued the 8.5 attempts for quite some time. Might be nice to recruit them here. Also worth noting there are some 8th ed posts in that forum might be worth keeping an eye on it. It's fallen off my radar post AoS because of the vitriol in the first six months to a year. Gary

8.5 started around the same time as 9th and I really liked it as it just looked to fix the glaring errors rather than rewrite but the main guy behind it seemed to garner a lot of hate (but not sure why). I can’t remember what he was called but he seem to think he was quite well known in the community

As opposed to 9th which started out strong, then splintered itself when the organizers decided to do NotHammer instead of Nexthammer like about half it's supporters wanted.

I imagine that given that T9A is fairly Balkanized (and currently working on 2.0), that a proper fan reboot of WFB would definitely be in order.

2.0 Beta is out, and had a hotfix already.
