If I could pick them up separately, I'd be tempted by the flying skeletal things as alternate Carrion to use in my VC-heavy Undead Legions list. The Dryads are good, but not so good that I can justify getting more.

I like to think of the mouthed wood scenery piece as slowly walking forward with those 'legs'.

These dwarfs are a pretty damn good release imo.
No interest in the main box but a new Ungrim sculpt combined with a surprise Goblin Hewer rerelease has me sharpening my axe.
I do like the Shieldbearer model and it looks sturdy.
In my head I can already picture the new Ungrim model with the lovely banner of the original.
A nice mix of old and new has me pondering making acquisitions...I did miss out on the Forgeworld command set afterall...
Nothing in the release would clash with my existing Dwarf army and a couple would compliment it.
Well played GW....well played.

I like to think of the mouthed wood scenery piece as slowly walking forward with those 'legs'. Yeah, the recent 'meat trees' from the warcry sets are alive and seem to be some sort of evil version of ents. This one is def on the march and moving about triffid style.

Beyond the price (that has been out of my acceptable limit for over a decade now), these are some very cool models and if I had a VC army I'd say that these make for some excellent heroes and champions.

Those are cool models. I like the spear stubs some of them are wielding, and the guy with the shield strapped to his back is going to make it far in Skavendom.
I painted 155 Clanrats last year though, and there's no way I'm inflicting any more on my painting backlog.
However, if/when they show off new Stormvermin, we can start talking.

These are amazing, if only because they're exactly what I think a lot of folks have wanted from a model refresh. They aren't overloaded with detail, they're the same scale, the sculpts don't stray too far from the last iteration, they're more dynamic and feel like an up-rezzed version. The only problem I'm anticipating, and I could be (and I hope I am) wrong, but there don't seem to be options for hand weapons/spears/shields for those of us that are going to buy them for TOW.
I'll definitely be buying a box to sit in my front ranks, but like Sedge, I've painted too many of these to even start thinking of replacing my old plastics with these entirely. And yeah, I'm now very optimistic about what this means for Stormvermin and the other models in the faction that are going to be refreshed.

I wonder if he'd fit on a 20mm without the mound.
Either way, he'd make for a decent unit filler in an unit of Longbeards

I think he will look even better not standing on the dumb pile of weapons. He might looks best mounted on the upcoming shield bearer kit. That is probably where mine will end up.
