My next army (demons) will be done with contrast paints... Should be interesting lol Let us know how it goes (with pictures of course!). I'm curious to see how they will preform across a wide range of armies and painters.

I'll try to do a step-by-step process painting the same model with both techniques and paints. I'll let everyone know what my experience is.

Yes! I don't even need the hot pot, but shall invest! So say we all! I think I will buy two if I ever get the chance to get the point to extend my empire army in like 2025.

Hot Pot for the WIN! I never got one when it was in circulation, but now I'll get two!
Crazy little kids! Nobody better touch 'em, or I'll go nuts on their ass!
I was afraid that GW had given up on these rereleases and stopped producing them. This makes me feel better! Now if someone would just talk to them about Teutogen Guard....

The made to order is up.
Iām really disappointed by the halflings bloodbowl pitch and dugouts. Iād class them as lacklustre, especially compared to some of the other 3rd party offerings. Iām a huge fan of the Iron Golems halflings pitch, it has picnic blankets on all round the edge and overhanging the pitch and the dugouts resemble hobbit holes. The GW all plain grass with picnic blankets laid out as the end zone just feels a bit lazy.

The introduction of Contrast paints is apparently coming alongside a bigger shake-up of the paint range. With a few small exceptions, it doesn't look like stuff is being discontinued, thankfully. The full info is here: www.reddit.com/r/Warhammer40k/comments/bu3ik6/information_on_the_upcoming_major_update_to_the/ - more confirmation here, if you're not sure whether to believe Reddit: war-of-sigmar.herokuapp.com/bloggings/3886The main bits to be aware of are: The Glaze paint line will disappear (Guilliman Blue, Bloodletter, Waywatcher Green and Lamenters Yellow), and the spray cans line will see some of its members go away. Caliban Green, Stormvermin Fur, The Fang and Averland Sunset spray cans will be discontinued. There are some new non-contrast paints coming out (e.g. "Barak-Nar Burgundy") which should be good. Forge World are bringing back their paint range that was dropped not too long ago (airs and clear paints). Unless you used one of those glazes or spray-cans that are going, this shouldn't have a negative impact on anyone. I'm stocked up on as much Caliban Green as my 40k Dark Angels should ever need (not that I paint 40k models much these days), and I'm struggling to remember ever making meaningful use of glazes, plus some of the new paints are supposed to provide a far superior replacement.

I really like this one. A lot! The bird/crow/skull theme is great. New warcry warband, shadow themed: But...No new purchases. I have almost 100 dwarfs to paint or re-paint in the next 2 months.

Unfortunately, along with all of these new paints, is coming a BIG price increase. $7.80 I think? They've nearly doubled in price since they were first introduced.
One could say, well, you're saving money on buying a base and wash paint. Sure, if that's all you're going to do with that uber-expensive model there, but most (of us anyway) ate going to go beyond just doing that. You'll also have to have the other paints for things like drybrushing, highlighting, etc. That's all going to add up quick.
