I think those models are racist.

I have to say I like that scenery. Might have to get some of it if they sell it outside of the starter set.

I'm definitely planning to pick up Warcry. Have ZERO intent to play the game but the scenery and the warbands will look great on my Mordheim/LotR table.
Does anyone else think that the Warcry scenery looks like they just reskinned the Ruins of Osgiliath set and then added some wooden gantries?
My Chaos and Pit fighter warbands are excited for new models!! I might even try and find ways to justify using these as mercenary warbands as well.
Dang it I just ordered a whole bunch of 30k stuff...the wife is going to be very mad at me.

It does look very similar to the Ruins of Osgiliath, I think that's why I like it so much!

The ruins do have the sigmarine logo plastered everywhere, but I think it's not so in-your-face that it can't be ignored. I'm tempted by them, as well as several of the warbands.

The logo can just be covered up with some moss or vines though. That's what I plan to do anyway.

Could maybe theme the scenery around Skaven?

If you're after the ruins, why not just buy the Ruins at Osgiliath? I'm sure it'd be cheaper that way and the ladders, etc. would be easy to build yourself.

I want the warbands/demons as well.
The warbands will find use in Mordheim, the Daemons will find use in 30k, and the scenery will find use in LotR most likely; it doesn't really fit the aesthetic of my Mordheim board.

AoS open day live blog: www.warhammer-community.com/2019/07/20/the-warhammer-age-of-sigmar-open-day-2019-live-bloggw-homepage-post-1/No models so far, but they've announced a couple of books, which have some ramifications for us. First is one for "Orc Warclans" - combined Ironjawz (black orcs) and Bonesplitterz (savage orcs). No room in there for the common orcs, so those models won't be returning (they were dropped from the range a while ago). Secondly, one for "Cities of Sigmar" (read: miscellaneous "order" forces) - old high/wood/dark elves, old dwarves, and empire stuff. The key bit for us: "The arrival of Cities of Sigmar does mean a handful of Order units will be leaving the range and becoming Warhammer Legends later this year. We’ll be providing a full list of which ones closer to the time."At least they're providing a list. On the flip side, some stuff will get repackaged into larger better value boxes and be secure in the range, albeit with round bases. Also, another picture of Gotrek:

I noted the white lions are no longer available so suspect they are heading onto round bases

I like what they do with scenery in the new boxes. Both main box and add ones adds a lot of scenery value. I currently play kill team and the main box value because of scenery is amazing in GW standard.
Thinking of picking up the warcry mausoleum board just because of scenery and if I one day start collecting vampires.
