They could "rebase" the game but not make in compulsory, much in the same way that AoS doesn't bother with it. Or they could start selling some sort of compatibility trays. Lots of possibilities, really depends how close the game we get is to old school warhammer

Yup. The biggest reason I didn't get on the AoS train was having to rebase everything. Most of us have thousands of models. It's almost insulting asking someone to change that much work.

I'm not really into the whole debasing thing either. For 40k I still.have loads of space Marines on the old 25mm circles and it's just too much work to rebase them all especially since I have both loyalists and chaos. My 40k friend has complained a couple times but he's own stance is "use the base the model comes with." And to buy, remove, reglue, and rebase all those models is just a pain for what? Less aura ability range but able to get one more guy into combat once in awhile.

At least for rounds, there's 25 to 32 base adapters you can plug them into.

For the new game all I hope for is square bases, rnf, and that they bring back old characters in the old world fluff.
I can probably cope with the rest.

So, not being a WoC fan, I don't really get WHY there needs to be new Warrior models. That "old" one looks nearly as good as the new one, from what I can see. Seems like it's mostly down to paint scheme. Other than a few details, seems pretty much the same. With SO MANY models despirately needing an update, these models shouldn't have even been on the radar, IMO. Looks to me like just another WoC cash grab. Does anyone else know why these models? I think you make a fair point that there are other models that need an update before woc But I must be in the minority bc I hate the old models. They are so static and boring to me. They have no sense of movement and I'd be happy to never see another army with them. I prefer the weirdness and chaotic (pun intended) look of the Goodwin metals from the 80s.

I initially didn't like the new Tzeentch model but now I've decided that the model is fine excluding the head.
I do like that there's a Tzeentch vs Kharadron box coming though.

The disc looks okay, the rider probably not - I'm not much of a fan of Tzeentchian chicken-legs outside of Beastmen, and the head looks bad from this angle. GW have still not got around to doing a decent armoured disc character.

Well, from that angle, the body looks like it'd make a great Night Goblin Shaman.
The head...just no.
The chicken legs are the worst part for me. It's stickin' them out there like a showgirl, but all I can think of is, "Man, I really want a plate of wings right now".

For Warriors of Chaos they seem very out of place.

They match the previous plastic Tzeentch Sorceror. Bird parts for Tzeentch mortal models has been a common thing since at least 4th. Maybe 3rd?
