nice. These guys are quite a handful to paint. so many details.
so...don't want to make you cry but, five wide is probably not the ideal formation for GW dwarfs in many cases. Did you take that into account and they can rank up e.g. seven wide?

Did you take that into account and they can rank up e.g. seven wide? I will see how much details I chose to paint. The remastered models are a lot better to rank up. And I went overboard with unit fillers to make extra space. This 30 strong unit only consist of 23 models. So I hope I can rank up in any formation. |

And finally, my 30 strong unit of warriors with great weapons is on its way. I use a lot of fillers to get this ranked up.   The menace of that unit and those weapons is palpable! |

And a lot of filler to make it even easier and reach the footprint of 30. My initial thoughts was too continue on the clone trooper vibe and make them all fiery gingers. I think the orange goes really well with the blue and it helps the color pop a little more. |

strutsagget How do find the quality of the Alternative models? What is the finish like? What quality is the resin? How much clean up do they require? Are they brittle? etc.

Are they brittle? etc. Thank for the nice feedback earlier  I find RA very good. I did no clean up at all but maybe I should have in the faces but that’s pretty hard/impossible for me. They even come with scenic bases. Gluing them together is between gw plastic (fantastic) and fw (some job to line/straighten up). Mostly as there is no instructions so you need to find what part matches with what I have my first lost kingdom batch incoming so I can compare with them in 2-3 weeks. Edit: They are pretty sturdy and do not fall apart like China recasts. |
