This is based on something that came up when I first joined the forum. As hobbyists, all of us know the temptation of buying model after model, feeding our addiction until those piles of unused miniatures are like the treasure-hoards of the Dawi (or scrap heaps of the Gnoblars). Assuage your guilt by confessing your latest purchases to the Grand Theogonist - or in the event your purchases are Sigmar-approved, then you may atone for past sins by sharing your devotion here.
Should you wish, you can explain how you will pay penance - or if you are a Sigmar-defying heather, state your defiance and how your latest additions will contribute to the fall of the Empire of Man.
(If you are concerned that your significant other may come across this thread, fear not - like Sigmar, wives and girlfriends are all-knowing, and attempting to hide can only lead to damnation by the ruinous powers.)

I'll go first...
Today I bought a Dark Elf reaper bolt thrower and the Vampire Counts 6th edition army book, both off ebay.
My first real interest in Warhammer Fantasy was sparked back in the late nineties, reading White Dwarf 220. There was a Dark Elf vs Warriors of Chaos battle report that Nigel Stillman managed to throw away - but still, the look of the Dark Elves really appealed to me. He had a couple of bolt throwers that were utterly wasted - one destroyed by harpies, the other spending the whole game trying to get around a forest to line up a shot. Sadly, I was only about 10 back then and my brother and school friends all played 40k, so I stuck with my Imperial Guard army.
Much later, when I felt the pull of warhammer again, the memory of that battle report (plus the look of the Cold One Knights - still my favourite models) drew me into starting off with Dark Elves this time.
I've got a couple of the more recent Reaper bolt throwers, but the classic one with "feet" has always appealed, and it's the only model from that 90s era that'd fit in with the current aesthetic (I'll use a different crew).
The Vampire Counts 6 ed. army book is because I recently read the 6th ed. DE book, and loved the fluff and little stories it had throughout. The VC one has much more background on the bloodlines than the 8th edition book. I've got a pdf of it, but prefer to read actual paper.
So, onto penance... I pledge to complete my Sigmar-allied Dawi army by the end of the year, down to the very last beardling.

I like the concept. Now, I have been a goody two shoes and not bought a single miniature this year. (of course, that only works because the sins of my past lead to the veritable grey mountain most of us have stashed away). Looking forward to some illuminating confessionals. Don't be shy, speak up. all shall be forgiven.

Haha, I've ACTUALLY been pretty good this month! (Well, past month.) I only bought a container of "snow" basing flock because I used my last little bit on the Thundertusk I just finished, and I also bought a replacement Ogre body for my Ironblaster since I used him on the Thundertusk model as well. (I bought the Thundertusk off ebay and the second rider was missing. I didn't discover this until I started modeling it, which was much later than when I bought it.) It worked out well, but I needed a replacement gunner.
That's it for me this past month! Kinda rare for me.

I'm currently negotiating a mega Mierce Miniatures purchase with an eBay seller who I have dealt with before. If I take the pludge (oh, it's so tempting despite my piles of unpainted plastic, resin and metal) then it will be the largest single miniatures purchase I have made in over a year or so... Close to $500 worth. Can I justify it.....my wallet, unpainted Mierce Miniatures and time say no......but considering the miniatures on offer my inner hobby fiend says yes I can My other confession is that I'm obsessed with an oop Beastmen Cygor resin model which used to be sold/made by a Chinese recaster/painter years ago called mpg miniatures. I recently to my surprise saw this very model (painted poorly, but I'd long since given up on finding it) sold on eBay for more than I wanted to pay but now I'm obsessed with it again. I even regret not paying the super inflated price it sold for as now I almost feel I 'need' it to complete my Beastmen. Now technically I shouldn't support this 'pirate' model of GW IP but the fact is that it's a faithful representative of the official GW Cygor art from their army book. I bought the official GW Ghorgon/Cygor kit from my local GW so have bought the real thing and given GW my cash. I love the kit, but the Cygor variation looks nothing like the art... meanwhile this oop resin figure does...and I want it! I have the official GW Ghorgon but desperately want the MPG miniatures Cygor. That is my confession.

I have been super good and not bought any models in a really long time! Must be 6 months+
I do however have an entire large drawer literally full to the brim with unpainted models. I may take a picture of my sin when I'm home

Oh snap...took the Mierce Miniatures plunge.... No more major purchases for me for a while then. I'm getting this regiment as part of the negotiated deal. They come on 60mm rounds so it will be interesting to see how they compare size wise with 40mm monstrous infantry such as ogres. Really looking forwards to assembling this squad. mierce-miniatures.com/index.php?act=pro&pre=mrm_dkl_fmr_blr_min_500_000I can't believe I took the plunge. Biggest miniatures purchase from me in years. Now I just need the Bloodbowl "Doomlords" to create my unit of Beastmen 'Olympigor' and I'm set for the rest of 2018.

I have the Rhino standard bearer from this unit as was planning on using him as an alternative minotaur BSB but pluck me is he so much bigger than any of the GW metal minotaurs (not sure how he compares to their more recent plastic kits but i'd still guess quite a bit taller). He does fit onto a 40mm base, barely. If I can remember which box I stashed him in, i'll take a photo for you so you can see. Edit: I found a photo of him on the 40mm base on my laptop (but not the model so no size comparison) but it gives you an idea

Haven't bought a mini in 18 months. I have bought some brushes and paint.
I have trouble justifying any more lead with the pile I have in cases that needs paint.
