Does make you wonder if they're going under with the constant sale or whether they think they've overpriced themselves?!

Does make you wonder if they're going under with the constant sale or whether they think they've overpriced themselves?! Well Mierce was certainly at the higher priced side of things and there is more competition now. If anything these sales make the prices much more realistic imo. If they were going under I don't think they would be coming out with so many new minis.

We actually got laws here against companies making false original prices and then always go on sale.

We actually got laws here against companies making false original prices and then always go on sale. We do too and if memory serves it’s along the lines of an item must be sold at the original price for a certain amount of the year (it’s been so long since I studied law that I can’t remember the details)

Mierce kit is full price most the time - they just do regular sales that are a significant enough saving that I can't see anyone ever buying their stuff at regular retail price unless they're not aware of their sales. Which is what this thread is here for, so no-one has to do that Also, they extended their sale to this coming Monday, of course.

mailchi.mp/mierce-miniatures/half_price_noblesAnother sale - "half price nobles" - so character models, but bear in mind they have lots of characters that are monsters, so there's some cool big stuff in there. That is, if for some reason you haven't taken advantage of any of the previous 9,000 sales they've had this year.

Some new miniatures this time - all limited edition "Fomoraics" (like chaos warriors): More details here: mailchi.mp/mierce-miniatures/limited-editions-970531I haven't bothered posting the hippo with the gun (not relevant), bad sculpt of the founder's wife, or the skeleton giant with scythe (it's been posted here before).

New releases for September / October: Brude, Aurmaer of Dun Durn on Foot - mierce-miniatures.com/index.php?act=pro&pre=mrm_dkl_abn_ftu_wcf_121_000Could work as a Chaos Marauder, or as something from a non-official army book (e.g. Albion). Creoda's Pack, Guthwulf Unit - mierce-miniatures.com/index.php?act=pro&pre=mrm_dkl_ang_mrc_mbs_500_000Also available separately. The painted one is one of their oldest models. They're monster sized (80mm bases). No immediate obvious WFB usage, but monsters tend to be easy to proxy as something. Sunspear Kyros, Strategos of Ilios on Foot - mierce-miniatures.com/index.php?act=pro&pre=mrm_dkl_atl_ils_wld_108_000Either Tilean or Tzeentchy. Same applies to the wizard below. Baltazar, Thaumaturgós of Ilios on Foot - mierce-miniatures.com/index.php?act=pro&pre=mrm_dkl_atl_ils_wcf_161_000Ilios Vigil, Iliotoxotes of Ilios Unit - mierce-miniatures.com/index.php?act=pro&pre=mrm_dkl_atl_ils_inf_450_010No obvious WFB use, but I guess in a Tilean/Dogs of War list using Empire rules they could be some alternative Handgunners who decided to wear something other than pyjamas to battle. The Searing Ones, Pyrokolossos Unit - mierce-miniatures.com/index.php?act=pro&pre=mrm_dkl_atl_ils_min_580_000Could be non-Egyptian Ushabtis? But if you don't like the Egyptian aesthetic then you probably aren't collecting TKs. In IV Herod, Ignilegionarius Incaendium - mierce-miniatures.com/index.php?act=pro&pre=mrm_dkl_byz_var_inf_650_003They're on 40mm bases, and could work as alternate Daemons of Chaos Flamers of Tzeentch. I've never much liked the look of Flamers so would be tempted to go with these, except I don't much like the look of them either. Sreng, Currak of the Fir Bholg - mierce-miniatures.com/index.php?act=pro&pre=mrm_dkl_ern_unl_wcf_401_000On a 60mm base, and around 60mm to the eye. I'm away from home this week so don't have any models around, but I think that puts this in "Ogre Tyrant" or "Short Giant" territory? Kaarstan - this is an existing model (with bow: mierce-miniatures.com/index.php?act=pro&pre=mrm_dkl_fmr_blr_wcf_113_000 ) that they've done more versions of - hand weapon/shield:https://mierce-miniatures.com/index.php?act=pro&pre=mrm_dkl_fmr_blr_wcf_111_000 , great weapon: mierce-miniatures.com/index.php?act=pro&pre=mrm_dkl_fmr_blr_wcf_111_100 , two hand weapons: mierce-miniatures.com/index.php?act=pro&pre=mrm_dkl_fmr_blr_wcf_111_200Obviously, all are good Chaos characters. I rather like the great axe version. Saairen Maari, Reiver Witch - mierce-miniatures.com/index.php?act=pro&pre=mrm_dkl_fmr_blr_wcf_169_000Clearly a Slaaneshi sorceress who's already benefiting from a couple of daemonic augmentations. Aadolf - another with a few versions, shield: mierce-miniatures.com/index.php?act=pro&pre=mrm_dkl_fmr_blr_wcf_481_001 , great weapon:https://mierce-miniatures.com/index.php?act=pro&pre=mrm_dkl_fmr_blr_wcf_482_001 , two hand weapons: mierce-miniatures.com/index.php?act=pro&pre=mrm_dkl_fmr_blr_wcf_483_000 Ogre character, the face is quite "retro" in style like some of the older GW ogres. Definitely sold himself to Chaos. Tegroth - just two versions this time! Great weapon:https://mierce-miniatures.com/index.php?act=pro&pre=mrm_dkl_inf_dis_wcf_801_000 and two hand weapons: mierce-miniatures.com/index.php?act=pro&pre=mrm_dkl_inf_dis_wcf_802_000Chaos something-or-other? He's on an 80mm base, so monster size. Potentially a Dragon Ogre Shaggoth who spent too long too close to the polar gates. Tónndrepa, Grundtroll - mierce-miniatures.com/index.php?act=pro&pre=mrm_dkl_nor_jtn_mbs_485_000100mm base, so another monster. He looks a bit like one of those prehistoric animals that came after the dinosaurs. He rivals Forge World's Merwyrm for the "face not even a mother could love" award.

I like the ogres. I wonder if Mierce has any elves?

I've mostly given up posting their sales as they seem to have a new one last week. They've just finished a BOGOF for infantry units, so yesterday started one for "hosts" (mini armies). Then one's just cropped up today - half price for some of their metal and resin miniatures. This includes some of their flagship models such as the skeleton giant with war tower, or their great weapon trolls. Full list here: mailchi.mp/mierce-miniatures/grab-our-surplus-metal-stock-cheap-970643This is either a really good deal, or a company with a serious cash flow crisis. I'm still waiting for my Mammoth, but at least they've replied to my enquiries about it quickly, and to be fair it was a pre-order and they said it could take a while.

My Mammoth arrived, and it's a BEAST! It's absolutely massive, and the body is a heavy, solid block of resin. I might try building it this weekend, but I've got to get some spraypainting done - and there's an Arachnarok I'm supposed to be painting too, so I don't know how far I'll get. I'll post photos when it's done.
