I picked up the new WD to check out the Dwarf Slayers, and really like this painting with the Orcs: The Wyverns seem stylized enough that the paintings are based on a new miniature. Appears a Shaman rider option too.

I'd welcome a new Wyvern, but those kinda look gigantic.

I hope they release a new wyvern kit! I always loved the original wyvern with the shaman mounted on it. Hopefully any new kit captures that sleekish head as an option.

At least they're keeping with the O&G vs Dwarfs thing. It's good to see that some things never change.

Looks relatively similar to the 6th edition design (the head mostly), with the addition of a gutplate. Looks like a Savage shaman and Savage hero on top too, which was never done before I think. But we can probably expect multiple choice of riders now though.
I'd be disappointing if they don't have at least the option for that naked dwarf in the Wyvern's claw though!

I hope to be wrong here but that Wyvern looks pretty generic/similar to the existing one to me too, so I'd be careful with seeing it as a sign of things to come. It's good that greenskins keep appearing in the artwork though, especially fighting Dwarfs. And if/when we do get some releases, a plastic Wyvern would make a lot of sense.

It also seems Orcs will be mainly Savage.

It also doesn't seem like these riders are Warbosses from the art. More like a new Savage Orc unit type ala pegasus riders.

Keep in mind that the miniatures pictured are NOT orcs and they are NOT riding wyverns. Those are some type of orrucs riding some type of flying creature. Just like the bearded guys are NOT dwarf slayers. These are miniatures for a game and setting that is NOT Warhammer Fantasy. That world was thrown away. Any new releases by GW are NOT Warhammer Fantasy.
Yes I am still mad.

That Wyvern has a much shorter neck than I am used to. Typically, don't GW Wyverns have long snake line bodies and heads?

I kinda like that it has a shorter neck. Looks more Orc-like and less like a Dragon's short bus younger brother.
Aside from that, GW's proportions are all waaaaay off.
