I have to say your opponent for the night is renowned for taking the most filthy combos possible. Although he himself is not a bad guy, his lists are often not at all fun to play against. I’ll say that he’s not a WAAC player as he does take a few below par choices but he will follow the scissor, paper, stone approach to dominate certain game phases.

Ooooh, yeah. I always hate playing people like that. You can't call them WAAC players, but they sure do play like it.

I’ll add that I’ve never had an unenjoyable game against him (even if taking a pasting) as he is a good laugh. I tend to take reasonably balanced lists though and they can suffer horribly against the lists that overload in one phase.

Yeah he was open from the off that he had conceded the combat phase and was focussing on magic and shooting.
The game was a good laugh and I laughed all the way through my 5+ armour save hammerers miraculously not losing a model after 50 odd shots at them.
Having not played a one sided list like that in a long while it was still a good game.

Well, that's good! If you can laugh and have fun all game, then that's what matters!

Badluck on the result but I'm always happy to see Tomb Kings get a win!
Per the internet shields on hammerers are considered to be a waste as they can't benefit in close combat but against heavy tomb king archer shooting they actually pay off on the long slog over.
Better luck for the next one and you had fun which is the main thing.
