I don't think our forum has a thread yet for GW alternative options. By that I mean: - Links to a web site that sells good alternative(s)
- Links to a manufacturer that produces interesting alternatives
- Cool kit-bashes
- Cool conversions
- Things you might have done, taking real world items and making Warhammer scale minis or dioramas, etc.
I was hoping this thread could function as the one-stop-shop for all of that kind of activity. It would be a valuable as resource as we beat the drum of EEFL and sources dry up for GW options.

For example, right now I am simply curious about "Battlelore" miniatures. www.fantasyflightgames.com/en/products/battlelore-second-edition/These kits come in between $30 and $50 and typically, you're paying between $1 and $2 per mini, across a wide range of infantry and cavalry and some monstrous infantry sized dudes. Seems like value town, but I have held these a few times in my grubby hands. Unsure if anyone has tried to paint these, and if so - what's the success or failure rate? I might take a risk on the Undead booster pack, Heralds of Dreadfall.

That's a great list. The Stone Colossus especially looks interesting.

Here's a shot of all two boxes

From top left: 1 banshee, 1 undead dragon, 12 skeleton archers, 12 bone horrors, 9 dread Knights, 18 skeleton warriors (swordsman), 6 [12] undead hounds, 6 wraiths; center: 9 necromancers. That's a lot of dudes. A few of them feel just a tiny bit under 25mm scale, but I think that's just cause GW's 25mm scale is a bit too large and heroic.

So you got all that for $40? That is impressive. Value town!

VALUE TOWN, Yes. But ... ... Jury is still out; I shipped some to Rich. I am painting these today, actually. The scale is off like just a bit...

I modified one of these cool archer sculpts. The scale is a bit off but this should help. I've got plans for a ew of the other figs but the knight, for example, is not usable. Just too small.
