Hello everyone, I am just starting some Fyreslayers, even though my son and I are going to use the models as Chaos Dwarves. I welcome any comments and suggestions, we are not the worlds best painters! Attachments:

Cool! We were discussing how the new Fyre Dwarfs seem similar to Chaos Dwarfs in terms of weapons, monstrous mounts, fire, large helms/crests, etc. In fact, I believe Fyre Dwarfs are basically the Chaos Dwarfs of AOS.

weput them on 25mm, they seem to be just a bit big for the 20mm if we want to rank them up. seems to be what they are going for with their newer models, no consideration for formations. wealso purchased the hearthguard, and the magma droth. great looking models, and we are already working on rules for them. I would love to hear what you come up with in the way of rules.

I would like to hear what you come up with. My son and I have been building a Chaos Dwarf army mainly from the Mantic miniatures, but we are having to do some adjustments. The one thing I like about the Fyre Dwarves, is the helmets are definitely reminiscent of the older chaos dwarves. just wish they had some armor. my son and I were trying to decide with the hearthguard if they would make good "slayer like" units armed with fireglaves like in the chaos army, or with the drake guns like the irondrakes have. the same flaming attacks and armor piercing, but they are still so squishy with no armor.

To use the 25mm dwarves legally (I use this term loosely as who gives a crap now) you could field them in a CD army as black orcs.

Just working on this guy, need my grass and sand for the base. We are going to use this guy as a unit filler for Dwarves, but after thinking about it, we were coming up with some fun rules for him. For those of you unfamiliar, this is the whisky golem from Malifaux, but we were going to give the darwves with him in their unit, -1 WS, but + 1 toughness or maybe immune to psychology. or even a unit that destroys him stupidity the rest of the game. We love playing with fun pieces, and working on unit fillers to make our armies different, but house rules this guy is fun!

madcowcox, I love that concept of give unit fillers an appropriate special rule. Basically a unit upgrade of sorts.
You should def give the Dwarf unit with the Whisky Golem the stupidity special rule to represent that they are drunk!! haha

Definatly KevinC. They will have stupidity for sure! Maybe if he is killed the dwarves will have hatred for that unit, not unlike bugmans brewery disaster. It will be fun to play test.
