With the new Grand Alliance of Death battletome for Age of Sigmar, GW is taking the entire Tomb Kings range out of production. Everything is listed as Last Chance to Buy on their website.
This is the first major blow to the armies of 8th edition Warhammer. I dread to think what may lie ahead.

Speaking of dead things, have you seen some of the other forums?
Warseer is just completely gone (I don't know if that's temporary) and the Warhammer Forum totally dead. Some advertisement group posted about 100 advertisement posts.

Warhammer Empire is in a weird state. The Elector's Forum was the place for game tactics but now that there's no "game", it is a desert. The current discussion includes making the site more about human miniatures which I fully support, though that has nothing to do with Warhammer or the Empire (which no longer exists).

Yeah, Warseer dropping off is odd, seeing as how it had a strong 40k presence. Bugman's Brewery is a bit subdued as well. Ogre Stronghold is doing okay, although it has adopted a format of just loving Ogres across game systems.

It's astonishing that bretonnians outlasted tomb kings.

Yeah Warseer was gone abruptly, and still off line after a few weeks without info of what's going on. Our Tomb King Forum is very low on activity too, and them being dropped off by GW will not help things.
It's funny how GW split regular army into ore faction (Chaos have a Khorne army now, and we can expect one for the other gods, Dwarves seems split in two), yet they scrap half of the Undead. They could have easily kept the new kits made for 8th edition while ditching the old stuff (would have helped distinguish Neferata's army from the others if anything), but they decided to scrap it all.
Tomb Kings are the first because the Undead update came first, but I expect more of that in the future. Bretonnia, probably some Empire, even Elves could get hit by the "last chance" bat.

Yeah this indeed sad news!
I need to hunt down a box of tomb guard although after this announcement I'll not get these guard from GW direct.
This is a real shame. Tomb Kings are one of my favorite armies. Thankfully though they are eternal and shall persevere!

Yes, I really do wonder if AoS will end up (or already is) a big blunder for them with really poor sales. It shall be interesting indeed. I wish some of the initiatives GW is taking with AOS had been taken with the 'real' Warhammer. "Getting started" bundles, cheap rulebooks etc. The next 12 months of AOS will be very interesting. The Heirotitan was apparently finished..... I'm curious as to how it will make its way to AOS given the Tomb Kings axing.
