All is looking great. I really like the mounted vampire mini too. Thank you sir ! Here are two more recruits to join the war effort. The mighty prophetesse and a paladin. I am in the process of replacing the prophétesse shield though, I’m not very happy with the current result.

Here is the stage of the full army. I am still waiting to receive my BSB and another paladin to fill the gaps. Then these main units will be ready to play at least. [/url]

Hi there, So I decided to do a conversion for my BSB. Thanks a lot to Horace who gave me advice on how to make it work. The green stuff part on the cape is pretty messed up but I’m not used to work with green stuff and that’s the best I could do. I’m satisfied with the rest. We’ll see how the paint job goes !

Great work!
With green stuff I wet the tip of the tool so it doesn’t stick with the green stuff when trying to make it even.

And here it is painted. The cape doesn’t look too bad, it’s much better than what I expected. I’m pretty happy with the whole thing ![

Hi Knoffles, Once again, all the credit goes to Horace, I wouldn't have been able to do it without his explanations. I had to improvise a bit though as the conversion he had done before was using a black knight horse and a different arm for the banner. So here's how I did it: First step is to cut the "legs" of the model. Basically, on the second photo, everything under the shield has to go away. If we look at it from the back (first photo), then I would say that at least half of the shield has to be cut. It is not too hard to put the torso bit on it to see how far it needs to be cut and trimed. Once the torso is built and adjusted, it's easy to just glue it to a pair of knight of the realm legs like I did. The tricky part was for the cape. It is paramount to keep this cape as it hides the mess of the shield that is now cut. But the cape doesn't allow the model to be seated. So I had to cut the cape in the middle and fill the gap with green stuff has shown in earlier posts, in order to create enough space for the horse. This was hard to get right, but it's doable. The last difficulty was for the right arm, holding the banner. Basically I had to cut out the arm holding the sword, and then replace it with the knight of the realm standard bearer arm. Problem is, the model doesnt give any support for the KOR arm to be glued. So I had to use green stuff, mixed with glue, to make it connect to the shoulder plate and torso and hold everything in place. A bit of the shoulder plate got melted in the process, it was a pain in the ass to get right, but in the end, it works ok. Hope this helps !
